I like to keep it simple and basic. Tinted the windows and put LEDs inside and for the license plate lights. On my second round of tires I went with Super Coopers. Ran into such a good deal they sat in my garage for almost a year until I needed to mount them. Might stay with Coopers too, heck of a tire so far.

That is acceptable cracking, nothing to worry about at this time, those tires will wear out before the cracking gets to bad unless it is rarely driven...

Here is what a very respected retired tire engineer has to say on the subject of tire cracking/aging, his site id full of very informative real info about all things tires...

I absolutely believe it. My previous set of tires were Nitto G2 Terra Grapplers and I put over 110k miles on them in the past three years. They never needed rebalancing and wore evenly. Much is attributed to rotating them every 5k miles, which was practically every month. I got my money's worth, but I didn't get them down to the wear bars. Most of the offroading they saw was for work, and only a little wheeling. They were showing dry rot cracks. Texas sun/heat will do it. But I plugged each tire at LEAST once and every puncture occurred on the right hand side of the vehicle. I was happy enough with those Nittos that I bought a set of G3 Terra Grapplers hoping for similar longevity and performance.

BTW, my son has KO2s on his 2nd gen TRD OR. I had a set of those on my Jeep and loved them, too. I sold the rig with those tires on it so I don't know their life expectancy. We'll see how well he milks them. We're pretty religious when it comes to tire maintenance (basically pressure and rotation) so I bet they'll be fine in the long run.

Made some changes so I could park in my garage again. First world problems, ha, wait, are we still a first world?

Extreme Terrain had a 50% off deal on some Methods that I've been eyeballing. So I snagged those and then got some smaller tires. Dropped from 35's back down to some 285/70R17's. Also had to pull off my awning and shower tent but those rarely got used anyway. I'm curious to see if I miss them.

If you air up 5 PSI will it still "fit"?

Nice! I leafed through your build thread, but didn't see it- what suspension are you running? I see the airbags. Any rubbing at all at full lock, or articulation? I'm looking at this size and tire, but don't want to do a cab chop. I've got OME mt64 suspension up about 2". Thanks again, truck looks GREAT!

What PSI total are you looking for? I should be around 36psi there and your tires may be different? Those are BFG KO2's.

Dying to try 255 85 16 but don’t want to risk a cab mount chop.
The OEM Goodyears only lasted 30k. Mostly highway and I don’t drive very aggressively.

Body Armor Stealth Front Bumper. Extended Brake Lines. Greddy Shift Knob. More to come of course.
There were some road closures on the east side of the park so you could not drive all the way around. Pretty much, every trail was closed except the full on easy access tourist trap ones. This made the full on tourist area vista points into absolute zoos. I saw so many close calls between vehicles and people with phones in their faces. And what is up with Oregonians and their constant need to die? Every other car I passed was drifting into my lane head on! This, especially outside Klamath Falls in the grasslands. Friggin' dump trucks just lah dee dah right over the line in slow motion...sheesh.

McCloud Falls, Ca. also worth a visit...

Yeah that’s some 1st world problems. lol. The question is why would they make garages so small in this 1st world? Don’t they know whom we are?

Changed the plugs, 60k maintenance complete. Finally reset that maintenance required alert. Pulled the plenum like someone on here said we should, I think he’s a tech, and in Canada maybe it’s @Bishop84? Decided to go that way after I did the passenger and looked at the drivers. Sheesh. Anyways pics cuz we love em IMG_2734.jpgand heres the fellersIMG_2736.jpgthats passenger on the right and top is the front. Started at 11:05, finished at 1:18 with 2 ten minute breaks. Everyone chime in on the look of those, 62,937.
Also I had been thinking; why do change these at x mileage and not some sort of rpm vs hour ratio?

Cheaper and faster? My house was built in 05 too. Doubt they even thought about rigs setup like this back then, haha.

Installed these in the front doors with a 1/4" spacer ring.
Crutchfield says they won't fit, but they do.

Noticed today that someone keyed my tailgate, WTF!!!! The wife thinks it's because I support our president and either my hat or shirt pissed someome off. Like the Tesla vandalism that was, or still is, taking place. It had to of happen at either Target or Lowes, haven't been anywhere else other than work since last time I washed it and I know it's not work. This really infuriates me, especially if it was done intentional due to politics.
