Not sure if this is needed, probably not. But the tiny hooks on the OEM and the fixed-connecter for the rear hook and ...well ... "Damnit I need that and I did not know it". As annoying as it was adjusting the hooks to length and then tightening the nuts to lock in the length ... probably not going anywhere soon. :anonymous:

Applied Meguiar car air cleaner to the truck. The first owner must have smoked or allowed smoking. I did not remove the RoughCountry seat covers ... a calculated risk ... but I did take the material I carry to allow some access under the seat covers. I do not way "junk in the vehicle" because with a few exceptions everything I keep in the truck has a purpose ... even if it is used only in emergencies.

Finally got the Prinsu mounted on the WildTop topper.
It was definitely a hard days work with a heat index over 100. I do not miss living in Texas where this weather is the norm.

Got the OVS awning mostly installed only have 6 bolts holding it down, tomorrow I will put 6 more in. The Pelican case is just mocked up to see where I want to mount it. And I still need to decide where to put the Maxtrax boards.

Finally got around to doing paint correction on the truck. Amazing how a polisher makes quick work of it and how it makes the paint look super clean, smooth, and shiny.

Ordered my 285/70r17 Nitto Recon Grapplers (plan on installing my lift next weekend).

Got DA Polisher and did a a light correction on my Tacoma then polished and got a coat of Ceramic Wax on it. 11 hours in the 105* heat under a pop up tent, im exhausted lol. Tomorrow I detail the interior.

Okay posting for the benefit of others.

Background. I was getting squeak from rear going over slight bumps such as thick road paint/epoxy such as some crosswalks/RR crossing/School Zones.

Squeaking from the rear has been immobilized. I have spent hours trying to find this, and just by chance, yesterday, while under the backend I thought while I'm here I would test the spare tire to make sure it was still tight. While doing that I noticed a squeak, so I handled that with some 303 sprayed at 4 locations where tire came in contact with the carrier/hanger.

    Squeak is confirmed gone.:hattip:

First time ever working on a car before.
Added new front and rear shocks (5100 rear and 6112 front) plus a new Icon rxt leaf spring pack. Just got new 255/85/r16 AT4's put on this morning.

Rides super nice, glad not to have a squatting truck finally.

Wow, so it broke from the inside, maybe due to the timing chain broke? Looking forward to your update when you know something.
