Dang I hate that for ya, I mean it. I was gonna suggest the junk yards but you already tried that. It’s easy for me to say but Just keep snooping around for the parts you need.

Thanks I appreciate it. Thankfully there was no major damage that a sledge hammer and new parts cant fix. Junkyards have alot of 2nd gen stuff but hardly any 3rd Jennys.

What polisher you use? I have all the stuff, just trying to wait for a good deal on one, didn’t realize the suggested ones were so insanely expensive.

May I ask what bushing you are talking about??:anonymous:

I have noticed that every time I open my tailgate the handle cocks a little like something is about to break...

I assume this is what he’s talking bout, it’s the slow fall mechanism. https://youtu.be/LZRlYN0TukU?si=qwN4kabos9769ETK

I was going to buy an expensive polisher but the thought of having to fight with the power cord was a concern for me. So, I figured I'd try a cordless one first. I came across one which seems to have the basic features for my amateur needs. At under $100, I could just use it in the house if I don't like it. https://a.co/d/4OwA1ou

Good weight, nice ergo, variable speed, and came with two batteries and polishing pads. Easy to use/maneuver, not obnoxiously loud, and vibration is not an issue. I was able to remove minor scratches and water marks etched on the paint ... after proper prep of the truck of course ... wash and clay bar. Applying wax was so much easier/faster for sure with the polisher.

There certainly are much better polishers available but this is good enough for me. I say that because I want to avoid going down the rabbit hole of getting into car detailing as another hobby. I have plenty to keep me busy already.

A picture cannot really show the improvement in the finish. But the shine is deep and the surface is nice and smooth that can truly be appreciated only in person.

I just did my first time and used the Bauer short throw for like $65... did a hell of a job IMO. If it was something I was going to do more frequently maybe i would of spent more on "Nicer" model but im thinking a couple times a year doing an in depth polish (not correction) and if the bauer gets me to a year from now that $65 will be worth it in experience and will show me with experience gained on what models and features to look into on a nicer model

AC is going out in my '22 with just under 52,000 miles. Lots of weird "airy" hissing sounds behind the dash and temperature is only mildly cool. I'm guessing this won't be covered under warranty...

I’ve heard this part paint matched is about $80 bucks. For parts you can check this website https://www.car-part.com/mobile/index.htm they have some decent choice on local scrap yards. Also eBay has some pretty good color matched stuff.
