After having my AC crap out on me I decided to make some splash guards, just in case the cause was from it constantly getting splashed.
They were pretty easy to make out of some 1/8" 5052 aluminum I had laying around. They mount into the abandoned sway bar holes and into some nuts that were used by the oem engine splash guard, I think.

MVP awards go to my Swag band saw table and hydraulic press brake, I don't know how I managed to do any fab work before getting those 2 tools.

You might want to check the passenger front window switch, it should already be an auto up/down switch...

I just went out to double check and mine has the Princess auto window switch also, the rears don't though...

Some might not already know (I learned a few years ago on a track day), that warped rotors are often from hard braking (HOT Brakes) and then staying on the brake pedal at a stop. On the track, when you drive a track owned car, they emphasize to get your foot OFF the brake once the car is stopped, the hot pads keeping a small area of the rotor hot, as the rest of the disc cools, makes the disc warp; letting your foot off the brake separates the HOT pads from the rotor just enough to dramatically reduce the tendency of warped rotors. I think this makes sense, and it was drilled into us, because they clearly get tired of replacing rotors.

Now that I am conscious of this, I use the e-brake at a stop light, when I tow, or when actions just prior to a stop likely heated the brakes.

This happened while leaving the hospital/Dr office, it hit 14,999 miles as I was pulling into the hospital complex, so when I went to leave I drove around the hospital until she rolled over and hit the 15,000 mile mark, the road home is way to hilly and curvy to of tried to get the pic while driving... lol

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
Replaced my needle bearing today with the ECGS bushing. For as sloppy as my CV was, the bearing wasn't all pounded out, seal was shagged, though. All is much better now. This must've built over some time as I never noticed how bad it felt while driving. It's soooooooo smooth now.

Looks great those tools help but angle grinder a vise and a hammer just not as easy to do. Should help with splashes for sure, but will it help longevity i think if you live in the salt belt it will be a common issue a/c clutch

rotated tires changed oil threw out the old air freshener.

What is often blamed on "warped rotors: is really brake pad material being transferred to the rotor under the conditions you describe. I dial indicator on the rotor will show nothing wrong, but the FRICTION of that spot on the rotor where the pad dwelled while hot has changed. The result is a pulsing that we usually associate with a "warped rotor".

Some "enthusiasts" swap in "aggressive" brake pads between track sessions to "scrub clean" the affected areas.

It happened on my motorbike a few years back (VFR800) I chased the cause up and down.

The pulsation just "went away" with added miles.

That’s how I feel, the ecgs bearing smoothed it out, steering wheel feels more responsive, truck just rides better.

Time only exists -inside- the box. Unfold it, and you can drive your Taco anywhere…

This auto window shit thing is really pissing me off. I’m trying to not be buying new things for the truck. But no, fucking Tacoma world has new stuff that I haven’t yet bought. Jesus. It’s like Disney world in here. I mean that financially, like a vacuum cleaner hose, direct to my wallet.
