Have him disconnect the calibrator, reconnect your stock connections and drive it. Try to engage 4wd and see if that fixes it. My bet is that it does.

Remove the three screws on the top bracket, drill new holes two inches or so closer to the top, reinstall screws, toss the tie down in the bed cubby.

What are your plans for this truck? I just bought the same exact one. It was a pain in the ass to find though.

I just installed the red letters I got on my new TRD shift knob. (thanks to https://www.tacomaworld.com/members/163975/ for a great product and super fast shipping! ).
Follow the directions that were included with the decals, took less than 10 mins.
A few helpful hints (that are also in the provided instructions)...:
Definetly put the knob between your legs in your lap, hang your phone over the table edge and use the 'flash' on for lighting on the knob.
For sure use a razor blade to pick off the letters.
Use some soapy water, I just dipped my finger in the soapy water and put a little on where I was installing each letter. I would install each letter, blot dry then go one to the next letter.
Only used 3 letters, got it right the first time.

For the removal of the shift knob (I have a 2016 TRD OR), all you have to do is use your fingers, just slightly push down on the chrome ring below the shifter and it will drop off. Unscrew the knob.
Take the new one, screw it on, then just slide up the chrome ring and it will snap back on.
    No tools needed.
The install took like 2 minutes.
I definetly like the looks and feel of the knob.
Matches up nicely with my black seats with orange striping....plus my neoprene console with patch.
    Expensive ($125) but nice!

Thanks! I was thinking that but some of my rods have long handles and it pushes the reel up out of the slot. I'm still not done with it though.

Got my first Tacoma ever and I'm loving it.
    Things I've done so far:
-Removed all badges except the Tacoma
-Plasti-dip the grill and Tacoma badge
    -Installed Predator tube steps
-Made my own flag holder that bolts into the back of the bed

    Things still to do:
    -Plasti-dip chrome bumper
-Plasti-dip wheels until I can lift and get wheel at the same time

I'm open to any suggestions you guys have for any mods.

That sure looks like orange in the picture! I think it would look good in my truck with the orange trim but if it's red it wouldn't!
