What color are the tailgate inserts? I've been wanting to do the same...

 

Did matte dark gray. Very similar in color to the darker 4x4 portion of the sticker on the side of the bed. Ordered from rrentrop here on TW.

Are these actual stickers like the auction says or vinyl decals like the other inserts from mntrider65?

found out the other day you can lock the car by touching the door handle where it has the two lines. Love how i don't have to touch the fob at all

I like this feature, only wish every door handle had it. My X5 has it on every door and I've gotten used to locking it from the rear passenger side. Little adjustments I suppose.

 

yeah every door should have had this feature. i thought it was pretty cool and went to the other doors to check and sadly they didn't have it.

It looks like they applied some of the brushed stainless vehicle wrap to get that look. That wrap material is tough and easy to apply.

 

what dooes he mean by "domed"? these look thicker than the other sets

You can program it so that it will look all four doors by touching the two lines. Also if you didn't know it unlocks by grabbing the handle. Page 110 of your owners manual
