Kudos to your company that wants to make things right. I'd do business with a company like yours anytime..

We do our best. I always step back and look at how I would want a company to handle my issue and that is how I approach theirs.

Yes, and on that issue the appropriate bitch would have been about how much you have to learn about off road driving! :>)

    Fuel economy...

My parents just bought a brand new Z71 Sierra, the lower air damn is 4" from the ground... The more air you keep from going under, the better the MPG.

Yeah, technically I know that. It's just so out of place on an off road vehicle! But based on EPA mandates I know this kind of crap is going to get bolted on regardless of looks and practicality!

Haha, I get it. It is crazy that they have to do it. Our DCSB TRD OR didn't have one on it when we bought it new.

Book says maintenance every 5k. oil change every 10k. So that's what I do. Book recommends Castrol GTX 0w-20 so thats what I use, which is what the dealer has. ToyotaCare includes oil changes

It's just the OR and Pro that don't have it. Has nothing to do with 4x4 or 4x2.

Well that makes sense. Trucks intended for OR use would have those ripped off either by the owners or terrain!

Toyota wants a LF type fluid for the transfer case. Disclaimer-I am not a mechanic. I have done research and spoken to two fleet mechanic friends and have been informed the transfer case synchros bushing use soft metal, (copper, brass) and that most gear oil (mobile 1 etc.) have a high phosphorus content that may cause the bushings to deteriorate. Some GM cases are the same you have to use a specific fluid. The only company that I could find that makes a direct replacement for LF fluid is Royal Purples synchromax product. All that being said I walked into a local dealerships parts department and asked for LF fluid for my Tacoma. The parts guy looked at me like I was an idiot and said they just use gear oil they buy in bulk by the drum. So either he didn't know what he was talking about or it doesn't matter. I used Synchromax. They warranty their product to repair replace anything damaged by the use of their product.

Is there a reason why mobtown and pelfrey skids don't come with an oil filter door?

    Noticed only RCI has it
