This happened to me on Friday the 13th went to turn the truck on and as soon as it turned on all these notifications started flashing the truck was still driveable, took it to the dealership the next day and now they are trying to blame it on my HIDs

Hey dude, this is why I still haven't bought HID's for my truck. Have they been able to tell you why your HID's caused this?

I just talked to him. He sent me these pictures it is just the front driveshaft which is only like 27 inches. The rear drive shaft which is a double there not a problem was. Something with the joints on the front that's the one he wants to replace. Said might have been okay with the lift but now that the new gears are in there everything's turning faster and combination of gears Screenshot_2017-01-18-11-38-32.jpg Screenshot_2017-01-18-11-38-19.jpg and lift is causing the problem. The double cardan driveshaft should take care of that I guess.

Make sure he puts that in writing! One would wonder why he didn't discover this when the gearing was done, but this Mod appears to have been Effed up from the beginning!

I fail to see a problem in this picture. Had to tell but the joint looks fine to me.. Might be worth a second opinion at this point.

He did say it was hard to tell in the pictures he sent me, but he said the one had pretty good angle on it and the other is pretty much straight. He said he's had to do this on a lot of jeeps. He had to do something with unloading a truck quick and said he was going to call me back.

Jeep and Toyota are two VERY different animals. IFS vs. Solid axle. Really sounds to me that this guy really isn't sure what the problem is but is very eager to sell you something else.. Should really get a second opinion elsewhere and move on from this guy all together.

When I get sometime I need to check to see if any Tacoma World members have done this drive shaft, believe some have but not sure. Something to do with double jointed instead of single. Not what I was originally picturing.

I know people have changed the rear driveshaft to a single piece Tom Woods driveshaft, however I haven't heard of anyone needing to throw a double cardan on the front.

Hey there Looking at getting some seat covers. I'm thinking wet okle. Question is do the back covers allow for all of the normal parts to move. Anyone have some, might be able to post some pics? Thanks in advance!
