Yeah, definitely different than everything else out there.. What I'm thinking that would be cool, but expensive would be to take this grill, cannibalize a TRD Pro grill (cut out the center bar) and graft it into the recessed grill.

Finally got my grill installed along with the stone guard which is needed here since they use lava rock for snow traction?? Sometimes the size of a nickel  Will post better pics later when I get it out. Now waiting for the Clazzio's and new bed decals. The embroidery on the headrests and bed decals will match. Hopefully they will be here next week. Before and after shots.

For everybody's information just in case you didn't know, rev1 just stands for revision one. It doesn't have to say it in order to get it. It is the only one that is being done right now the first TSB has been replaced by revision one.

Stone guard, bug guard, wind deflector. Called by many different names. the deflector on the front of the hood. This will just help me with all the rock chips I get on the hood and windshield a little. Will probably come off when the snow is done?

Do you have a lift on it? If so, ho much is it lifted? What size rubber are you running?

(Sorry for sounding dumb) What is an alignment, its not the alignment I'm thinking of that they do at tire shops... Right?

Yes it is. Whenever you change anything in the geometry of the front suspension you will need a new alignment

Ahhhh ok, sounds good, I do do offroading about once or twice a month with some friends, the Tacoma is actually my first car which is why I'm pretty dim-witted about the terminology and the whole thing of lifts and etc... Lol I just know I'm a little too low for my liking and need bigger/meatier tires (Cause I got the TRD-Sport, it came with street performance tires...)

We'll if you plan on doing any harder off roading, I would look into other suspension lifts on here. costs a bit more tho.

The offroading I do is mostly like dirt roads with a lot of pitch and roll with loose gravel as well as some decent sized puddles/mudding

At Tustin Toyota getting 15000 mile service and Trans update. We will see if they do it. I gave them a copy of the TSB and my case # from Toyota corp. They tell me there is a new navigation map simm card. $169 though. Ill spend $10 on a new road atlas IMG_2529.jpg
Oh and BTW. Have had my TRD performance intake on for a week now. MPG is same but I noticed a little more pick up when going out the gate. I know there are nay sayrs that will tell me it's all in my mind but feels better off the line to me.

Edit: All done. Loren Rogers took good care of me, he is a Tacoma Sport owner so he gets it. Just drove the truck home, seems to shift better after topping up a grade. Didn't get to try out cruise control. The first TSB fixed the R2D hesitation. Happy with the service. Took about 2 hours.

If you are trying to save money and that's about all you do you should be fine with a spacer leveling kit IMO. Spacer Leveling kits are mostly for looks and adding larger tires. I don't really go off roading other than just dirt roads but I sure do like the lifted look...
