Swapping LCAs as well? I really want those Total Chaos with dual shock function but I absolutely do not really need them...

Shit man, 90% of what I have, I do not need... Even that trauma kit, not necessarily a need, but a smart thing to have when you spend a lot of time away from civilization. But, no, not doing the Chaos arms. They lose too much turning radius which I do not want. So, Icon LCA skids it is

Lol, I support the trauma kit.... I've got one in my truck as well. Figured I might as well use my education off the clock as well as on...

Why do you say that the TCs lose too much turning? I was under the impression that they were basically the same as the stock ones, just stronger and more expensive.

I'm also looking at the Race series, none of the +2 or midtravel/long travel kits.

Yeah, something about the steering stops interferes with the race series arms. I suppose you could do some chopping on the stock spindles, but since those aren't the strongest already, I'd advise against it. They are undoubtedly nice, but on the truck I trove with them, a normal one point turn into my spot at work turned into a 3 point turn. Kind of annoying. real first world problems

Interesting, good to know. This is just something I've been mulling over -- there are so many other things I want to do first. Looking forward to see your new suspension setup! You'll have more hydraulic fluid in a single corner than most people do on their entire truck.

How did the dipped flares come out, would you recommend? Looks great in picture. I'm highly considering this so I still have the option of painted flares down the road. Do you think it holds up well? How many cans/coats did it take?

I just want to be sure I don't set aside all the time needed to dip if the plasti doesn't have the strength to stay put and look like OR flares. Thanks

Not going to lie I was skeptical at first but once i started there was no turning back. Loved the way it came out. Period. I thought the plasti dip would not hold up with washes and weather but it's been 2 months now and I haven't had any issues with it. I used a total of 5-6 cans, the flares are large so you'll need a few coats on each one. WARNING do not over due the coats. 7-9 should be perfect anything after that the plasti dip turns into a type of fury look, kinda like hairs sticking out. I had to re due one because of that. Make sure to cover a lot more of what you think you need to. The wind will blow plasti dip all over your truck. Easy to wipe off but just a heads up. Good luck man! Definitely recommend it.
