It did.. but I'm lazy... so having the lock connected to my key fob completes my circle

I'm guessing on this but seems to be legit? Great covers IMO.

I agree. It isn't too bad on my truck either. I also like the fact that I can hear it a little so I know it's locked

For you guys with the new covers, did you by any chance take any photos of the OEM covers off? My front passenger seat makes this creaking noise and it's under the cover in the door side bolster. It's not a mounting point issue. I want to fix it myself. Screw the dealer. I just want to know what's under the cloth cover.
    Thanks,
    Rob

The Clazzio leather covers go over the cloth OEM seat covers. The cloth covers are not removed.

Why not let them fix it? Warranty work is free

Try this youtube link. For most doing katskins or total upholstery change they'd go to an upholstery shop.

They want to keep the truck a couple of days and for me and my work schedule that equates to a week. Just seems like simple fix but they want to drag it out. Sounds like they hate warrante work.

Have you just unbolted the seat and tipped it back to look underneath?

I watched a 2 part YouTube video of a seat heater retrofit. The guy had the seat back cover nearly off in less than 8 minutes including removing the seat. They never showed the entire cover off. The fact that there is a airbag up in there scares me. It's just an annoying creaking sound. I bet some well placed baby powder would fix it.

Just pull the airbag fuse or disconnect the battery but it shouldn't go off without the sensors feeling an impact.

Until that one day comes where you get pulled over and they do a vehicle search and find white powder. :anonymous:

Nah.. just yank the battry cable and start swinging away. I am actually more suprised that an airbag hasn't gone off in my face at this point.. given all the nonsense I have been performing.

Yea, they disconnected the ground batt terminal first. I would lable all the connections under the seat (damn moder vehicles). And once you get the seat out and methodically get the zippers unzipped the cover practically comes off by itself. From what I saw online. Nothing is ever as easy as it looks for me for some reason though.

You can always say you have the "Columbia Edition". Hope you get it squared away....pretty sure there's a no getting knocked out by exploding airbags clause in the TW TOS rules. Airbags freak me out so just do lots of research on disabling and good luck with the fix.
