I have had vent visors in all my trucks and family suv's for at least 12 years. There is no effect on window motors. I have more noise, with windows cracked, than I would like in my Tacoma. I had a 2014 F150 that was also noisy however no noise in my 1st and 2nd gen Tacomas. It is a shot in the dark as far as wind noise. I still always use them. Love fresh air on rainy days and the ventilation while parked on hot days.

In all my vehicles that I've used them some make more noise than others. I think it depends on the vehicle. I don't think the Weathertec brand are too bad. I did however change mine up and removed the metal clips since I couldn't figure out what the were for, and instead added 3M tape. On the backs, not the fronts. Maybe that helped reduce the noise. The Weathertec brand are super low profile too.

    20170715_142407.jpg

So maybe that has a lot to do with it.

Got my Fab Four bumper installed today along with some TRD emblems for the grill and tailgate. I big thumbs up for Bumpersuperstore, I ordered the bumper on Thursday afternoon and it showed up at 10:00 am this morning. Just a heads up about the install, you can remove the spring clips from your trailer connector and tweek them out a little wider and reinstall them while holding the connector in the bumper instead of drilling your connector. Another note is that the factory wiring harness for the connector is about three inches short of plugging in. You can get enough slack if you disconnect the harness from the frame where it clips in. You will need to disconnect the left rear turn signal clip and all the clips on the frame up to the transfer case cross member to get enough slack ;)

Yea and I have to agree with @mrproduxn about no wear on the window motors. If anything, more people have negative reports concerning the windows not staying up due to the auto anti-pinch feature kicking in. You really need to follow the directions here and if needed use your hand to force the windows closed (palm against the glass while pushing up) while holding up on the window button. Then the trick is park the vehicle in the sun a couple days in a row without rolling the windows down. I've done that on the last 5 vehicles I've put these on and have never had a problem.

Which model is this bumper. It looks better than the 3 pictures on their site. Not buying one immediately but want to have the part number for later. I just can't stand having no real rear collision protection.

That looks like a darn good deal for $830. Did it come with all required brackets and hardware or did you just use your factory parts for the assembly.

It came with everything needed except an extra pair of hands, lol. It took me and a buddy about an hour an a half to install, much of that was removing the factory bumper.

ETA You have to have a factory tow package installed since it mounts to the frame using the hitch to frame bolts

That is good to know. My 2nd gen got rear ended and the bumper saved my truck. That little chrome bumper was roughly $1200 and probably 1/2 the strength of yours. Def putting it on my got-to-buy list. Not only is it a good price you still have a stock bumper to sell and recover at least 1/2 the cost. Great deal.

I wouldn't even rate the third gen bumper as a "bumper". It serves no purpose other than covering up the frame under the tailgate, the only protection it had before was the receiver hitch

Alignment looks good in picture. Does it have slotted holes for some alignment adjusting. It really looks factory installed. Trying my best not to order one right now. Gonna try and wait a little while though. Probably hold off and miss the 20% now but catch it the next time they are on sale even if it is Thanksgiving or Christmas. I am drooling at the picture but feeling a burning sensation in my wallet area. I do have factory tow pkg.
