That would work to. I just needed a little more tire clearance.

Toyota does not allow for "takeover" with remote start. It's built into how the truck works; even though it is remote-start-ready, Toyota designed it to not allow it to stay running. Nobody's "cracked" the system as far as I know, and I wouldn't expect it to happen.

Even the OEM Toyota remote start modules work this way. See http://toyota.custhelp.com/app/answ...ote-engine-starter.-when-i-remotely-start-the

As for "not much use" -- with remote start, on a cold January morning I can walk outside, get into a WARM truck and press the Start button while I put on my seatbelt. Without remote start I can walk outside, get into a COLD truck and press the Start button. Same for a hot Atlanta July afternoon after work, I can get into a HOT truck or a COOL truck.

Maybe that's not useful to @acemastr, but it sure has been useful to me.

I honestly don't know. Bought it new with them already on it. Came with readylift, wheels and tires. I will eventually change lift but has full warranty as is.

Here's an estimate from what ive found. There are sales for the wheels for around $200ea. Tires are 275/70/17 around $225ea. So around $1800.

Huge thanks to @JerryTaco, @cmack, and @Rashnu for the roles they played during my suspension upgrade this past week.

After the install I loaded her down and took her up north for some fun. Performed great. The deavers handled the weight of the tent and gear with no issues.

Nice, how do you like it now that you've lived with it for a couple months? It seems to be a great box so far.

You can only get KO2's in a C load for 17" wheels.
