Installed the AFE TBS with the CAI that I already had with the dynamic scoop. I know most people poo poo them, but my first impressions are seemingly a increase in mpg's and seems to hold sixth gear even better than it has been since the new gears, which made a great improvement! So if my first impressions hold true, I will be pleasantly surprised and pleased! Also I do not hear the dreaded whistle, which this new design is suppose to have mostly eliminated. I confess that I have tinitus in a pretty bad way from shooting and masonry saws!

Ain't that the truth! I had an 05 tacoma prior to buying my 12 which is when I joined.. all downhill from there. Ha ha, drove that truck for a few years with just a couple mods, then jumped into the 16, midly modded and then went full retard on the 17 and now about to build an 18 4runner as a grocery getter... this site is the devil!!

    Nope.
Took off the key ring emblem....why I had to buy two sets of these.
Carefully pry off the emblem, I used a small knife blade to get it barely lifted then used a small flat head screw driver to get it to release from the metal. It has like a sticky back for adhesion.
I added a drop of superglue to the Hondo knob and very carefully stuck the emblem on the Hondo knob.
The emblem will slide around while applying so best to remove knob from Taco and do this on a table.
Let it dry for about 30 mins while off the Taco.

    Thank you. Looks great
Edit. For glue like that. Use a hair dryer and some fishing line. Use hair dryer to heat up the emblem glue and surrounding area. Once warm enough grab the fishing line (1 end in each hand) and slide under object ( in this case the emblem) and pull towards you.

I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions/pics of a small toolbox that can attach to the bedrails? Similar to this one pictured. I have backflip tonneau cover so bedrails are lowered. Thanks for any input. 9636BBD7-593D-4E7E-90BD-A77A6D57A288.jpg

First mod. Added Lund 5 inch ovals. Tonneau cover and mud flaps get put on this week by the dealer. I think I'll take the air dam off this week. It's a start ...

I put the Lund 5" on my truck as my 1st mod. Handicapped and a must have. After nearly 2 years I love these steps and they are an excellent door ding deterrent.

It is funny about the mods. 1st gen added larger tires, tool box, nerfs and vent visors. 2nd gen added vent visors and swapped steelies for stock 4runner wheels. Bought the 3rd gen and went half ape shit with mods. Funny how this site was initially my go-to for tech stuff and maintenance. Now it is the "oooooooooooh I gotta have that thing for my truck" site. Partly because my 3 kids are grown so now the money I spent on my kids for sports and travel goes into my traveling Sport.

It took like 3 seconds to remove the emblem with a pointy knife and screw driver(I was super careful ...you could just do it with a pointy knife).
The emblem is recessed into the key ring so you can’t use fish line. ; )
