Funny how much better the Tacoma’s run after about 15-20K miles! Not even the same truck as it was at 1-5k miles!

    What, no ludicrous mode?
Ps, need to make one for us fancy sunroof guys.

I've been literally sitting in the drive way staring at the ass end of the truck for an hour, really not wanting to start installing my switch pro. Got caught up on my tw though.

25K was a magic number for my truck. Woke up to a completely different drive/ride. I wonder if they have a break in ECU setting similar to BMW Motorcycles.

    Thanks!
The 2016 TRD MGM I had before, frankly can’t tell a difference heat wise with the 2017 TRD QS.
And the Linex I had sprayed on by the shop ....I spent an extra $100 for the UV proof, non-fade version. They use the same UV non-fade stuff when completely spraying/painting vehicles.
    Will see.

Too much work? No. I probobly do more work on my vehicles then most.
I never said they are a great buy. I like them but they are way over priced just like everything else for this truck. But also just having the plastic that comes fully finished like that will always be better then paint or that crab plasti dip you mentioned.

Thanks. It's the 6112 Bilsteins with AALs. I set them at the 2" target and kept the overload leaf in to keep the factory rake.

    Agree!
Regardless like many of us on here, we decide what we want to spend our hard earned cash on whatever mods we want for whatever reasons. I always would consider myself rich when I wouldn’t have to work on my vehicle myself as in repairs...then I found this forum....then I bought a 2016 Tacoma and went mod-mad....most of which I did within reason myself...then that vehicle got totaled, had to pull off most of the mods and re-install those and everything else......sometimes wishing I paid someone else.....the 2017 TRD my fingers and hands hurt like hell installing those Clazzio’s seat covers...I have arthritis in both hands...
The other stuff was sort of fun.
My Taco is my grown-up’s toy..... a little expensive....but a whole lotta fun.
    And it’s MY toy..... ; )

Clazzio Triple Black Leather Seat Covers w/ "TRD" in Red embroidered in the Headrests. I’m very happy with the outcome...

I think it helped laying out all of the seat covers in the house to loosen up the leather because it was as easy and as smooth as the headrest install. Thank you @Clazzio

Definitely updates the look of the interior. I’m also glad I went with the Triple Black Leather Seat Covers because I really like how it blends with my Black Leather Steering Wheel Cover, the Black Leather Emergency Brake Cover, and the Black Leather Shift Knob Cover. Lastly, having the little touch w/ "TRD" in Red embroidered in the Headrests really brings out the Interior Trim.

Does the new pipe have a smaller diameter? Can you tell in sound or performance?

The pipe is the same diameter as stock. The stock pipe is a double wall construction so it looks much thicker than it actually is. Makes no audible difference or change in power.

No it's the same diameter and sound, no performance other than I won't bang it up while out on the trails. Toyota made the exhaust double walled for insulation.

I am pleasantly surprised at home much bass this puts out. By no means am I going to set off car alarms, but it does a really good job of filling out the bottom end. I did go budget, no DSP or anything and it definitely rolls off when the volume is cranked but that isn’t the subs fault.

Retail is $280 or so, definitely worth it.

I painted mine 4 coats of black and finished with 2 coats of clear. More of a hassle than plastdip, but result is clean. I plastidipped the grille because i wanted to try it and knew i could undo if i had to.

If I had to redo, is still do it the same.

I understand the point of changing the grill color to black. I don't understand why it makes sense to use plastidip. It looks like it'd be a pain in the ass to remove it with how many tiny sections there are. I want to do mine but will probably just use paint or rattlecan bedliner.
