Did the soundproofing for the two passenger side doors (already done the floor). Broke two plastic tabs though, so I am waiting to grab some more from the dealer tomorrow morning to finish that up and get to the driver side.

PULL YOUR DOORS FROM THE BOTTOM when removing them, don't be like me.

That size will definitely rub on stock suspension. I have 275/70/17 KO2s and even with a 2.5" lift they rubbed with alignment at spec settings. I needed the castor adjusted to around 3.0 to avoid rubbing on the cab mount when turning or going into driveways.

Don't have a recommendation for "affordable" seat covers but if you are willing to spend a few bucks the Clazzios are awesome (clazzio.com).

Running some errands this morning....one of which was to pick up these handy gems to help me with a Taco enhancement that I hope to get done next Monday.....

Also went out and looked at some hunting land a buddy recommended for the upcoming turkey season.

Figured it'd be a great time to lube the 4x4 system.....

Washouts & swamps will make this some interesting terrain by March/April. Snakes & gators will be out sunbathing by then. Hell....it was over 70 degrees today. Won't be long and I'll have to be much more careful of where I step.

Was a little apprehensive to go too far with these stock highway tires......called a buddy to see if he was off work and available in case I got stuck. He gave me the green light to have fun and try to get stuck.

    Fun times ensued.

One thing is for certain.....this Taco has better seats than my Frontier 4x4 did. Those were soft and unbolstered and let you sling around like a fart in a skillet. Truly needed the "nut setter" that @Easthill Bob described. This Taco held me in place as I jiggled and giggled all through the clay, mud and stuff. I had an absolute blast. I needed this day in the woods. Fun times. I kid you not about having fun. There was one spot I found that was a wide open clay puddle about a foot deep. I passed through it a couple times slowly to check it out......then backed up and finished my coffee.....and stomped on the pedal and ran through it.....cutting the wheel at times.......doughnuts through it....roostertrail coming up. Damn fun. Therapeutic fun.

My offroad impressions of this 3rd Gen are nothing but positive. Truck did great. I did some stupid shyt....with gusto....and couldn't get stuck. Fun time !!!!

Even with these clay-packed highway tires she did well. Looking forward to the day when I get some proper rubber on her....won't bother to make the phone-a-friend call prior. :mudding:

Put on some good tunes.....popped a top and got all up in her undercarriage. :bucket:

Today was a good day.....and it's only halfway over.

Looking forward to hunting season and pulling the trigger on something tasty. Until then it'll be spent planning truck enhancements.....

Got bored on day 1 of my “Staycation”, which I take every year before spring training, season & snowbirds hit southwest Florida. I take a week off to unplug, turn my phone off & re-charge the battery.

Figured I’d take the hounds to the local dog park:

Had the alignment checked and all was good but the toe. Installing the Pro front suspension lifted it a 1/2inch. Still have a slight rake and love the ride. This confirms that the Pro coilovers and shocks work on a Access Cab Off- Road 4X4. :headbang:

Then I suggest you replace the thumb locks on the lid with real locks.
I think the mailbox locks with 1” should do.
There a couple types I was thinking of trying but have not done so. I tested one on the smaller bed box. But don’t have all the parts.
Just using some scrapes to see if it would work. 531B8974-89D1-48E2-9450-101EB446D9F3.jpg

Ebay has numerous types and sizes. I used vending machine locks on both compartments under the rear seat as well as the bed compartments on my 2011. Will be doing the same on my 2017.
