Thats exactly why I keep a spare vacuum cleaner belt wrapped around my shifter. Ya just gotta think outside the box dude.

 

Installed the Assault soft roll-up tonneau cover today. It popped up in my Amazon Prime for $149 with free shipping. Thought that was a great deal. I've had a Truxedo and a Gator before on other trucks and this one seems every bit as well made. Easy install and fits and looks great in my opinion. Really want a cab-height topper but don't wanna drop $2 grand right now.

Dang man, I'm prolly going to do the same while I wait for the next year in vain for a cab height topper as well

 

Just got done removing all those stupid warning labels off the window visors. They peeled off very slowly. Then I masked off everything around them and sprayed a coat of black plastic dip paint over the glue residue where each label was. Got to say its a huge "cleaner look" improvement.

 

When drilling for my crossmember I decided to tap the holes in my frame, and I just packed the threads with CRL tube wax torqued the bolt, and threw the nylok on top, figured smallest hole possible, packed full of wax good to go. Otherwise you gotta drill a big enough clearance hole to slip your bolt through without scuffing off whatever paint you apply.

 

I have been looking forever and a day for a decal the size of the big labels. The warnings are very unappealing from outside with the visors down.

It went good. The hardest part was getting it all ready to spray over the decals. Just took some time. Well worth it now.

 

Random Question...How did you get your patches to stay up there? I have a ton and miss having them on my roof. The second gen roof liner material was perfect for them.

 

New shoes going on tonight!

 

Switched out all my exterior lights (except headlights) to VLED LED’s. Looks great and no resistors! Shout out to @Sedyn for his assistance. Interior is done already with @mesojdm ‘s awesome products. Now to figure out the headlights.

 

I like this! Anything more to differentiate from the driver’s side thermostat dial. First time I switched to 4x4 mode was on accident. I thought I was changing the cabin temperature!

 

Well... not so much a mod for the truck as a mod for me!

 

Picked up some Kicker tweeters from the local Subaru dealer for the upgrade as mentioned on Tacoma World. All I need now is some free time to install them.
