The LED install took 20 mins, very easy. Passenger side I removed two 10mm bolts to slide over the washer fluid, and two 10mm bolts holding the top of the highlight. You DO NOT need to remove the headlight. With the two headlight support screws out it gives you just a little bit of wiggle room to lean the headlight forward and I got both sides in very easily. Just be sure to orient the bulbs so that the LED’s are on the left and right side. Drove last night with them and much crisper than the stock head lights.

its a 2017 SR5, 3" lift with bilstein 5100 all 4 corners. toytec aal, light racing UCA (alignment to spec except caster up to 3.2). and just this week got new shoes. 16x8.5 with 265/75/16. Last time i owned a Tacoma was in 2005. Slowly getting back to it. It is a 4x2, no need for 4x4 in Miami.

Absolutely, I just need an eye hook for a catch point for the strap. This was more of a test fit for this coming weekend, but now a winter storm is going to hit Northern California and everyone is freaking out

I don’t think I’m SR envy. I love my 2017 TRD Off-Road. Just switching out some cosmetic touches to go with the route my truck is going with my build. ;) I personally feel Chrome is kind of out of place on these trucks. I purchased the off-road package, not for its chrome, but for all the goodies that are included. I wanted a truck that will maintain its value and be as reliable as possible over time. The crawl control is nice (not sure how often I will actually need it), but the Rear Locking Diff will be the difference in you making it through any serious off road terrain. For the money, I wanted my truck to have the maximum traction ability to get as far off the highway as possible, if need be, and never need to be pulled out by anyone else! Locking axles are arguably one of the single best upgrades you can add to increase four wheeling ability. They do wonders for rock crawling, mud, and anywhere that the rear tires don't have even traction. If all of your off pavement activity is on graded dirt roads, the SR is probably the better route and the TRD is probably not a necessity. However, if you are trying to do more challenging trails, the TRD is a good call. Therefore, not SR envy at all!

I think you might have read way too much into that. I agree that the chrome is BS and have covered most of it on the interior and am going to make the grille right once it warms up here. I probably won't swap the handles since I don't notice them as much as the other stuff. Also, removing the stupid stickers on the sun visors was a massive improvement also.

The 3rd Gen interior is really nice, just that they could have stopped with were things are in the SRs.

Looks great! I plan to do this at some point. Can you still drive on the wheels with the faux plate removed?

The rim is actually one piece even though it appears to not be. So yeah you can still drive around with the bolts out.
