Regarding the bed stiffeners… what’s the deal with these or anyone that knows. I know what’s the intended purpose but is that an actual thing specific to Tacoma’s by gen or across the board?

Or does it have to do with the fact it’s a composite type bed? Because the old sport trac had a composite bed and never heard of that being a problem or concern on the forums or personally

Oil change and manual trans oil change. Threw a fumoto valve on the oil pan as well.

For the record, after 33k miles the trans fluid still looked pretty good, trucks been all over Pismo dunes, volcanic badlands, dusty desert roads and muddy northern back country roads. I threw some cheap carquest 75-90w in it, since AAP had it on sale $2 off a bottle.

I’m still waiting for mine. Ugh. So jealous. Only part of my Suspension System I’ve been waiting for. They said two weeks ago they would be done and now they are saying another week. I can’t wat to get them tho. Going to be installing my Suspension System this weekend with the 2.0 Fox Shocks that come with the kit until these come in for me. They look badass!!!!

I just ordered from Amazon. Prices were the same on the Gator-Jaw website. They also have a couple stronger versions. I'm planning on running the lower cowl thru the winter. I'm sure I'll kick myself for not getting the hook now, but I'm still not sure what I want to do up front. Thanks.

Thanks for the heads up. I checked the manual it's a tow hook like the more traditional version on the Off-Road. The manual doesn't really distinguish between the two. Both are used for emergency towing, which may be different then recovery. Thanks again!

For the most part, I do not disagree with your statements. The point that was being made was that dealerships are in business to make money. A lot of people complaining about “stealerships” on here. Whether it’s for service or trade in values. It’s a business with a lot of overhead and expenses. No gimmicks, just business.

It is a bit of a wait but will be well worth our waits. I could have put these to good use 2 weeks ago when we were in Crested Butte, CO.

Installed some 4Runner wheels on my SR5. Brand new! people like to put the TRD wheels on their 4Runners so I was able to pick these up for cheap!

    Busy Week! *WOOHOO* :D
    Monday: OME 2" lift
Tuesday: Front window tint to match back
Wednesday: Bedmat, rolling toolbox and Weathertech front mats.

Next up are some tires (probably KO2s). I'm thinking 265/75R16 or 275/70R16... Any thoughts out there? Width vs. height?

How does this philosophy work for Carmax and their one price, no negotiation model? Which by the way, own the used car market. Other dealerships advertise a price and consumers still have the desire negotiate. Much like buying a house. The buyers make offers even though there is an asking price. That is what dictates the market, what people are willing to pay. There are also new cars that bring $30k over MSRP because of limited availability. Again, the point that was originally being made was missed. Dealerships are in the business to make money, like any other business. They can’t accomplish that by paying sentimental for a vehicle and then sell at cost.
