Greeting TW family! I have a question. I have a 2017 Tacoma TRD Offroad. The picture is the gap in between the cab and the bed. There’s a strip of rubber attached to the bed half. Does anyone know what’s it called? I can’t find it on any diagram. Anyways I woukd like another for a project I’m working on.

    Thanks in advance!!

Got my @KB Voodoo Max Modular rack installed with some side and reverse lights. The modularity is pretty cool, but make sure you have an air ratchet. I'll probably also replace the hardware with some grade 8 at some point. Just don't trust stainless to hold up.

You have lots... it'll give you a warning once you hit zero that you need fuel. I had that happen the other day and coasted in and still had 5 litres of fuel left.

If you switch to grade 8 bolts, make sure they are galvanized to keep the same corrosion resistance.

I live in Los Angeles so I don’t have to worry about the snow. Although, there is a “weather hood” I believe. It wraps over entire tent for extreme weather. But that’s extra and separate from what you’ll get if you just buy RTT. Not sure if it’s really necessary.

Looks good but I thought that bed rack gets rusted after a few months?

This past weekend, took the taco to Big Bend for some backcountry camping. Recently added a Tyger bed cover, Pro grill, and plastidipped the wheels with black and metallic, along with upgraded tires (Falken Wildpeaks). Had a blast!

How do you like that cover? Only one I have found that I understand requires no cutting

It was real easy to install and it looks good imo - and very reasonably priced. Slide some aluminum brackets into the oem rails, then it has adjustable clamps near the front along with backup safety clamps, and then another pair of adjustable clamps near the rear. Simple setup - probably takes about 30 minutes max to install. A few of the brackets had too narrow of tolerances so I had to use a block of wood and a mallet to get them down the rails a couple times, but not a big deal. I drove through some rain on the way to Big Bend, and none got into the bed. They provide extra weatherstripping, but I didn't need it - it fit well and has a little weatherstripping attached already which seems to get the job done. It's a soft top trifold, so not the most secure, but keeps prying eyes away. It will latch down in 1/3 format, but it's so quick and simple to detach completely too if you need the full bed. It also comes with a storage bag for when you need to remove the cover from the truck. This is my first bed cover, but so far I'm impressed - will have to see how it holds up longterm.

I'm confused; are you talking about the bed cover?

I got a Gator soft trifold and there was no cutting, and no issues with the install that took about 15 minutes.

Just picked up my new 2019 DCLB to replace my totaled 2016 DCLB. Spent a few hours getting my bed accessories and tonneau cover transferred over. Feels like all is right with the world again :D
