What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I love the idea of these drawers, but I'm concerned about accessing the full depth of the bed from time to time - how easily can they be removed? And can just one side be removed if need be, or does the entire unit come out as one piece?

 

Tuffskins make really good accessories and if you have issues, their customer service gets right on it.

Phil swift here with flex seal. I sawed this chrome grill in half and glued it back together.

 

Just put on a set of Terra Grapplers G2s and love them. I went with 265 70 17. Wife drove in the rain today and commented how good they were.

TRD exhaust painted black

 

Yet to hear a trd exhaust, how do they sound? Compared to the Prius exhaust that comes stock? Changed mine for an mbrp at like 500 miles

 

Today I installed SDHQ ABS sensor guards on my taco. I was driving a dirt road and suddenly found (at least one) Achilles heel in our trucks. Lost ABS, Traction control, BSM, cruise control, and 4wd. Fortunately the truck still drove in 2wd so i made it home to discover a rock had flung up into the wheel and destroyed a wheel sensor. They're in a really vulnerable spot if you drive anything other than paved roads. Toyota wanted $465 to replace it. Its one bolt and 30 seconds of work. $190 at autozone and I installed it myself and truck instantly working perfect again. Hopefully with these guards I wont have that problem again.

I’d give it a 3 on scale of 1 to 10. It’s was an expensive exhaust for the mild sound improvement. I would definitely go with MBRP or another brand next time.

 

Yeah on video it doesnt sound as much of an upgrade but then again video doesnt sound like it actually does.

 

Looks great! It’s such a clean and professional look.

 

This sounds like a much needed mod. Most people probably don’t realize what happens when an ABS sensor fails.

Cheap Canadian Tire locking petrol filler cap....thanks to an unprecedented level of cooperation between all for levels of government here, we again have the most expensive petrol in North America so, yes, gas siphoning is a thing

And i got my old boat anchor mag light mounted...that's to deal with the gas siphoners

And my iBoard running boards, got 'em as Christmas gift. Not my first choice (I had my heart set on some weld-on sliders, but...), but they come with a story....my wife is a tiny Hong Kong woman (it IS Vancouver, after all) and made it clear that she needed help getting in and out of the Taco, ergo the gift. And while I would never be so arrogant as to suggest that I have actually gotten wise over the years, I have learned not to make the same mistake twice, learned that sometimes the best way to win an argument is not to have one (right now), and learned that it is unwise to bite the hand that feeds you. She is happily (well, there was some noise when she saw how much the new Empyre grill was gonna cost, after doing the exchange rate calculation) supporting and enabling my new addiction...so, I can live with urban running boards for now...

 

I’ve had Gibson on a 2001 and Magnaflow on a 2011 Tacoma. Magnaflow sounded good.

I was looking at a magnaflow, borla and mbrp. Didnt want to drop 600 bucks so i went with mbrp incase of negative effects or didnt like it

 

McNeil Racing Fender Friday night install

 

After a long hiatus driving Land Cruisers and Wranglers I picked up a new 2019 OR DC last week. Starting slow but wife is giving me the flexibility to to build this thing out into our family camping rig. My first short term fixes were to replace the factory tires with Duratracs and to purchase some Husky Liners to get thru the winter this week. Will probably upgrade Wheels and Go Big later in the year.
