Agreed, love them on my white. Have you considered making a full “chrome delete kit”? I bet you there is a market if you wanted to make the badging overlays to sell with the ultimate turn signals

Only problem there is that a few companies already make overlays and many people just remove the badges. Both ways are what most people consider "Chrome delete". A true chrome delete would be everything chrome on the exterior of the vehicle including headlights and tails which I've only seen a handful of people do. That type of kit would get expensive. Great idea if you could get it all at one place tho.

 

I've thought about getting Vet plates. They look great.

Working on Mud guards. I looked at Rokblok but they were like $149? I still need my "Arm & Leg" LMAO!

Research the threads here for more info, plenty of discussion around. Sometimes they have your kit in standard colors in stock (which was my case). So I got lucky and ordered Monday and had them Thursday. For popular kits or custom kits, some folks wait anywhere from a few weeks to a few months. Just depends. They have great customer service, call them up with any questions.

During install, just take your time and have a beer while you're doing it.

For the seat bottom, the hardest part is tying off the white string under the seat (without removing the seat from the truck, which I wanted to avoid). There are two black straps with buckles that run front/rear to help hold the bottom piece snug. These are easy to tighten by reaching underneath. The white string you cinch and secure underneath which runs perpendicular to the black straps - I wish they'd find a way to use the same buckle for that -- it would be WAY easier to tighten and secure. Like I said if you remove the seat you can tie it off very easily, but with the seat installed its tricky to get under there with hands to properly and tightly tie off the knot.They include a dull plastic "knife" to help you push and tuck the cover into and behind some of the seats plastic.

The seat back wasn't too bad either. The booklet tells you (and I think it helps a little) to turn the cover inside-out about half way and slide it on this way first, and work it onto the top of the seat as far and as snug as you can. THEN, you kind of unroll the rest down over the lower portion of the seat. It would be much harder if you just take the fully unfolded cover and try to work it down over the seat in one shot, you'd be doing a lot of scrunching.

The headrest covers were probably the trickiest, although you wouldn't think so. Mostly because they are such a glove tight fit, so it takes effort to work them on. They point out in the booklet to be careful not to pull hard on a specific section on the cover, due to chance of ripping it -- heed this advice! I slightly put a small tear in the one corner (you cant see it when install is done) when pulling too hard on a specific portion of the cover without being too careful. So, be careful! My tip for the headrest covers is to first start to slide the cover on the top, and make sure it is straight (later on, if its rotated left or right a little, it is much harder to straighten so that the stitching looks). Then work it down a little at a time, alternating left side then right side. As you work each side, pinch and compress the headrest itself real hard, then slip the cover down a little. Alternate sides and eventually it'll go on. I started with the headrest still installed, until the cover was about 85-90% on, then I popped it off and pulled it the rest of the away on and this seemed a little easier.

Oh yea, dont forget to take sips of the aforementioned beer during the whole process.

 

Do you know of a list of these service roads in our area that are open to the public? Don't do any extreme off road driving but would enjoy some of these and may be able to convince the wife to go as well.
