But I’m pretty sure it already has in one of the threads. Plastic and metal expand and contracts differently is something I remember reading and depending on how tight you made the bolts/screws could have s huge impact cold or not. It was also mentioned those worried should reinforce the backside of the shroud w/ a fiberglass patch type kit- iirc

I’m sure these issues weren’t known immediately but after they were made aware any new buyers had the information to proceed at their discretion. Take your chance and Gamble or reinforce

Nope. The brackets they provide fit perfectly under the hood. Can open the hood without any rubbing or anything hitting the windshield. Very easy install but gotta be careful not to get your hood out of line. Mine got out of alignment and was a little pain in the ass to get back right. Other than that, nothing to it.

Tried to get puddles. Went way too fast! I missed the three minute purchase window, lol.

Finally got all the parts and tool/crimper for the deutsch connectors (25$ for a ratchet crimper on Amazon ftw)
    22DC6056-ED03-49DF-8A19-98CDA43C4DF4.jpg
I am going to replace the wire harness provide with the cap for the 3rd brake light (it’s just cheap) but I need to order more blue wire 1st.

    AC6977DD-97F4-41C6-B9B6-9E245813864C.jpg
    That’s so much better/cleaner.
    83132F70-1054-4CBD-A339-B88B1EC4F550.jpg
And just like the wire connector plugs provided for the tailgate and rear camera…
    C94D16C1-BC69-4A9A-84B4-429103D8467B.jpg
For now both plugs stay in the glovebox (with stock bulbs) but I’ll probably want to get a small type of bag and fit it in the storage with the jack.

That’s pretty clean. If I did any ditch light it’d be in the mirror rather than the hood brackets

I had a remote start on my last vehicle. It wasn't keyless so it's a bit different, but I could start the car, unlock the doors, insert the key and turn the ignition, put it in drive and go. This is not how it came from the dealership install however, because yes, they over compensate on safety features. As soon as I unlocked the doors the engine would shut off. I used the brake pedal to toggle through a "hidden menu" for lack of a better term, to set it up the way I preferred.
There are certainly ways to deter theft yet still provide functionality. It is quite obnoxious to have to turn the truck on twice every time you wanna use the remote start and not an issue of laziness, just an issue of improving functionality.

And as far as I'm concerned there's no reason to be an ass in this situation, and it's not humor unless it's funny?
