They are leather replacements, not covers. I did the orange myself a couple years ago to hold me off until I figured out what I really wanted to do.

It’s my first time posting. I’m a Tacoma owner since 2016. Silver 3rd gen SR5 4X4. Have been using this forum for a while and have found it really helpful in how to approach what I wanted to do. I figured I’d share what I did.

I recently put on the Toytec Boss 3 inch suspension lift with SPC UCAs and BFG KO2 285/70/17. I honestly couldn’t be happier with my setup. Recently took her to Colorado and did some moderate off-roading. No issues and no rubbing. No CMC and no trimming either.

I also added the softopper. Love this top because I’m not as dedicated as I would be with a hard shell. It’s been great for camping with the tent extension and the bed platform I built.

Next up is the prinsu roof rack!

Nice setup and welcome. Also happy their are others with SR5s, feels like a small group of everyone on here.

 

There is a specific reason that I have a Sport. My local "no haggle thank us for knocking $400 off msrp" dealers wanted as much for an SR5 as the out of state dealer negotiated the Sport. So for me it was a price thing. More options on the Sport vs same price for the SR5. There is nothing wrong with an SR5. That may be why there are so many Sport models around. My 2nd gen was a PreRunner SR5. I know I rarely see 2nd gen Sports. There are a ton that are SR5's.

 

This is Step 1 to correct a screw up. Long story sorta short, I paid a guy I know to wire up the raptor lights in my grille. I’ve known him all my life, he’s out of work, and he knows how to wire...or at least that was the impression. Tried to do the guy a solid, and well...he tried. 2 days later, the lights quit working. Tore it all apart, and it was a hack job. So much so, that the one plug of the factory harness for the DRL’s needs replaced. Just taped it up and remove the 10A DRL fuse for the time being. Hoping that step 2 is tomorrow.



Made the cable with parts from Ballenger Motor Sports and DEL City. Hindsight being 20/20, I should’ve made this cable to begin with, and spliced in a weather proof AMP connector to the cable for the raptor lights, and made it all plug-n-play. Wouldn’t have needed to cut the factory harness at all.

Going to have to take off the grille and remove left headlight bucket in order to get enough access to the mangled plug to replace it properly. Hopefully the weather holds and it gets done tomorrow.
