Thanks! And yeah just the rear window. I live in a gated community which makes it even more irritating.

Picked up the new Front Runner Outfitters (FRO) Low Profile Roof Rack Thur and installed it Fri on the truck to go matching-matching with the FRO bed rack on the HD DiamondBack tonneau cover. For some reason, the corner end pieces' holes didn't line up correctly with the holes on the front and back slats of the tray frame, so I just left them off. I could have misaligned the frame and slats, causing the corners not to line up properly with their respective holes. But, I'm pretty sure it's the parts' holes that don't line up. When I placed the corner pieces where they should go, their outer walls line up flush with the frame's outer walls. However, their holes for screwing them on don't line up. Gotta take them back to their store in Augora Hills to see if they can figure it out. Haha.. as an alternative, maybe, I can use those threaded rivets at the corners for screwing on some ditch lights in the future, God willing.

Anyway, I like how low they are compared to their normal height version. It'll help me to clear our apartment's garage gate better. It's not as sleek looking as the Prinsu Roof Rack, but I'm glad I can interchange the accessory mounts from one rack to another being that the two racks are from the same brand.

How they should look with the corners on:

Congratulation! Nice not having any monthly payments!

I haven't had a car loan since the 90's. I can't see paying a bank interest for anything! I hate loans!

Lots of stuff new to the taco!! Got my modified Lil Bs hybrid bumper and color match infill panels back from powder coat. This bumper is sick! I added the bent gussets and welded in small pieces of allthread to hold the perforated infill panels (bumper doesnt normally come with this option). Got all my lights installed and tested. Ditch lights with amber side shooters. Amber fogs. Driving spot/flood combo with blue markers and reverse amber single pod. Wired it to a 3 switch that fit pretty well into the factory cubby and two other small rockers below that. Added pop a lock to the tailgate and cap hatch. Installed my infill panels on my Hooligan offroad sliders. Switched out the winch hook for a smittybilt shackle loop. Added a track to my bed for movable attachment points across the cab. Welded in allthread to some t-nuts for my axe attachment point and to hang my tool kit. Hung a gear hammock across the front of the bed. Ordered another gear hammock for the ceiling of my cap. It was a busy weekend so far.

I just installed my Front Runner Slimline last week. I had a heck of a time with 2 or the 4 corners. I managed to get them but took alot of patience. 20190618_203212.jpg

Dont be shy with the caulking around the holes either. Better too much than not enough. Last thing you want is water collecting in your roof liner.

That snorkel they use would sure limit a guy for roof rack options. Comes back to far over the roof.

I have AMP power steps (#75142-01A) on my truck, and I love them as does the wife. They have another model (#75142-01A) now that more closely resembles the bed step. this new model also looks like it may fold up farther under the truck.

People who are not "truck" people seem a bit confused when it drops down. They also tend to avoid stepping on it. I frequently have to let them know it is safe to step on the power step. I have been told that they do not want to break it to which I normally replay "Each side has a 600# capacity, it can handle your ass no problem."

I could/would use, but do not have the bed step.

I may be wrong, it is my understanding that AMP Research is the OEM bed step manufacturer and the only power step maker for the 3rd gen Taco.

That’s a good little mod. Shouldn’t be in the way of anything either. Good job.

Yeah probably so. I didn't do the a/c drain mod just posted that video to point out the plastic fasteners I broke taking them out and the easy way to access the a/c drain tube. I have not seen any water dripping off my frame for the last 2 months so I'm concerned because I traded a black 2016 SR5 because the a/c stunk like cow manure. (Hope this truck don't develop the a/c cow manure stank) Now that I found that video I can shoot a/c foaming cleaner up through the tube pretty easy. Just waiting for the funk to start smelling stronger before I order a can of cleaner. I put my shop vac over the tube this morning and no water came out so I don't know where it is going. Hoping for the best...

That a/c drain mod makes no sense to me because my frame gets wet when I drive in the rain, snow, and ice anyhow. I think guys do the mod to help them sleep better at night.
