    Too much.
It was a very good plan, thank you. I actually drilled out the bolt hole with a step bit. Because there is 2 bolts and the ball bolts through, I figured I could afford to drill out that bolt hole, and the DSM still be solidly attached.

The grommet causes a slight issue (does not fully compress between the top DSM piece and the bezel) but it's not really noticeable unless you are looking for it.

Sad ending to my build. I was hit my a carjacker involved in a high-speed police chase on the 5 Freeway. The guy was going 120 mph in a stolen Lexus and tried to get between my truck and the lefthand shoulder barricade. Did not work out for him very well. Pretty crazy experience and very lucky to walk away without any injuries, but I am afraid my truck took one for the team ;(

    New coverage of accident HERE.

Hopefully, my insurance treats me right and I can start a new build soon but I will have to wait and see.

Sorry to hear. That might actually be within the fixable price range if the frame didn't bend. Then again, the adjuster might look at the price for putting a new composite bed in and scrap the whole thing. Next thing you know the TW buzzards will be circling for a partout.

Glad you made it safe, and I hope the perp becomes a popular bitch where he's going.

Damn that sucks! It will make a great story though. I mean how many people get involved in a high speed chase?!

Nice! I’ve got the same set up sitting at home too minus the UCAs and looks like brake line extensions. How much lift are you looking to get?

I’m in the same boat as RallySOP in that I can’t get mine on for several weeks.

Now I’m starting to think I should just get the UCAs too before I get the install done :anonymous:

That’s probably what I’ll do too. Seems like alignment is hit or miss at the 1.5”-2” realm. ECGS bearing would be worth doing out the gate too.

Headstrong told me about 2.5 front (888s) and 2 in the back, if I leave the overload leaf in.

I also have to wait a week or two. It's a big project.

As far as the UCAs are concerned, I had a cheap lift on my 2nd gen with 5100 at 2nd notch and aal. I could never get the alignment right, so I'm going to spend some money and do it right this time. From the install videos I've seen, you can install the UCAs without taking the coil over assembly out, so it shouldn't be too hard for you to add UCAs later. Might warrant two separate alignments though?

Marie at Headstrong said I needed the brake lines. They weren't cheap ($120).

That was my thought and the price was covered on Amazon with my Hilton points. But thank you for the reminder on the brake lines, I forgot about those.

I got the ome 888s in front and medium Dakar’s for the rear. I’ll be on the lowest setting on the Bilsteins. I’m hoping to be right around 2” after settling.

I’ve got the 887s on mine, and I plan to leave the overload leaf on as well so I’m hoping for 2” all around. I think....for now...that I’ll stick with this set up and hold off on UCAs until I see what the alignment can get to and how it rides.

Yeah, I’m thinking I’m gonna wait on the UCAs and I’ve got the ECGS in the back of my mind, but I think I’ll wait on that for if I actually have problems :notsure:

Nope. The thieves will take them before they have a chance to do any damage. Lol. I had a fluer de lis magnet stolen three times off my previous ride. Finally quit trying.

So far they are great. They balanced well and are quiet for an offroad tire. The narrow 35 option is awesome and the reason I decided to give them a try. Similar tread to other RT tires. Kenda has been making mountain bike and ATV tires for a long time.
