Installed some Lightforce ditch lights. The outside ones are traditional white lights and the inside ones are IR for some nighttime fun

Finally had the cash for new wheels, and I stumbled across a 6 month old shell for my long bed in cement. Now the dogs will be happy, and I can start a new wheel fund!

 

Is this with the optional yellow laminX film? Looks awesome, I think I need these too now, haha.

Read the questions and reviews. There's a couple that mentioned it fits a 2018 fine. Therefore it should also fit a 2017.

I roasted the clutch trying to pull a tree stump. Figured I'd take it easy and pull up one root at a time. It didn't even budge.

Got my Dimondback put on today. Nice set of KO2's and i think ill be done for a while.

Went to the dealership, took care of the 10K service, about 2 weeks late. Thought I'd ask the folks in the parts department if they ever get any take off running boards from new customers, who don't want them on their new Tacomas. Guy tells me, we don't take parts off trucks, we sell them. It seemed he came off as a bit of a d*ck, so I asked it differently. I figured that a salesman may ask someone in service to remove OE running boards from a new truck, if it would help make the sale. He said he'd never seen it happen and why would I want to buy something taken off a truck, to which I nicely replied, "So I wouldn't have to pay the full price on your already over priced running boards" - then smiled and walked away. If anyone in the Northeast has a set of the OE flat style running boards

I hate dealerships. Just had my 1 year service (haven’t quite hit 10k yet) and specifically asked them to NOT rotate my tires as I don’t trust them to not mess up my wheels.

About an hour later the guy comes to me and explains everything they did.... including tire rotation. I not so nicely told him that it was clearly printed on the service order to not rotate the tires. He looks at it and says “ oh yeah, right there... huh”. I took him out in the Sally Port and I over drastically inspected each of my wheels while he watched in disbelief.... thankfully no damage or anything on the wheels

 

Extended in bed Auxiliary Fuel Tank

I'm currently building my Taco' for over-landing for more of a southern California type of environment (desert and ;little hills). I like the idea of having an in bed aux fuel tank to extend my fuel range (in my case, fill up when gas is cheap). I currently do not anything in my bed of my truck at the moment (bed slider, drawers) and realize space is important for whatever the occasion is. I understand adding an aux' fuel tank will take up space, and i'm okay with this.

Anyway, I've been researching the internet and found very little options for the Tacoma in the sense of aux' tanks. I found Titan had developed their version called

TITAN SIDEKICK II - Locking 15 Gallon Fuel Transfer Tank

Sidekick Fuel Tank. I like the concept, but I was not sold on the siphoning aspect of the fuel tank. I want a push button to transfer fuel as i'm on the go. I've reached out to a several businesses requesting a custom build for a 30 gallon fuel tank. I've considered 20 Gallons, but since I live in California... *Nuff said*

Back on topic, Elizabeth from Bud and Tony's Truck Parts, accepted my request and offered to build a tank for me with the dimensions of 36"L x 12"W x 18"H. I've accepted her offer and will have it shipped to Socal for an install. I will post an update later with pictures once installed.
