I Gawgia, a tag on a personal trailer is optional. Or at least I've never heard of anyone being ticketed for not having one. I had one for about 10 years and hauled it all over the state without a problem.

Here too but then we even have a law against spitting on a sidewalk.
See log splitters being hauled around all the time, I've done it myself.
That said I wouldn't want to be involved in a traffic accident with one on the back of my Tacoma unless it was registered and had a valid inspection sticker.
Doing so here is just spinning the wheel.

Wisconsin under a certain weight no registration required on trailers. My pop up camper had a bill of sale only. No title/no plates.

I sold it with a bill of sale with 2 copies.

I figure at some point I'm gonna get the "this is off topic" rant, but it's an interesting discussion.

It is not a bourbon because it doesn't want to be a bourbon by self admission. They add a charcoal filtering process that eliminates it from that distinction, although it is very, very close. They prefer to label their product better than bourbon. I don't much care, I like it all. From their (Jack Daniel's) FAQ:

    IS JACK DANIEL'S A BOURBON?

Jack Daniel's is not a bourbon - it's a Tennessee Whiskey. Jack Daniel's is dripped slowly - drop-by-drop - through ten feet of firmly packed charcoal (made from hard sugar maple) before going into new charred oak barrels for maturing. This special process gives Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey its rare smoothness. It's this extra step - charcoal mellowing – that makes Jack Daniel's a Tennessee Whiskey. Take a look at our Process section for more information about how Jack Daniel’s is made.

Right, though TN whiskey meets all the technical requirements to be a bourbon, the charcoal filtration step is unique and classifies it differently with the TTB. It's a technical distinction and a somewhat touchy one at times, haha.

It's more "bourbon can't be called TN whiskey because it doesn't have that step."

I don't think the charcoal filtration precludes it from being a bourbon. It's a distinction to have a unique market position

I'm also starting to feel the bourbon discussion should migrate elsewhere ... Haha

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
I would have thought that Illinois would have some sort of weight or size requirement.

I waded through the Illinois Motor Vehicle Code that I had linked to earlier (now that I'm fully awake). All I could find was that the following are exempt:

    (3) Any special mobile equipment as herein defined; (couldn't find the definition, but this might possibly include cement mixers and log splitters)

    (7) Any converter dolly or tow dolly which merely serves as substitute wheels for another legally licensed vehicle. A title may be issued on a voluntary basis to a tow dolly upon receipt of the manufacturer's certificate of origin or the bill of sale; (I suppose one could argue that this includes motorcycle trailers)

I need to talk to a cop. Got errands to run later, one stop is next to a Dunkin' Donuts*. I'll pop in there.

    * - Seriously. I'll be out and about during their shift change. The ones going on duty stop in for coffee first.

As I understand it, the same is true here in NC. Unless it's a pig cooker. They are specifically exempt.

And no pig cookin' is complete without some fine Tennessee Whiskey.

What’d you use to paint em? Did you do a light sanding of the clear coat, first?
