My 17 came with a 17in rim and tire. Unless they changed things I would complain

WTH? I just checked mine after reading your post... The spare is a 245/75/16r Hankook tire while the other 4 tires are 265/65/17r Toyos. What's up with the inconsistency with this Toyota? Sounds like everyone has completely different spares. lol

So weird with people having completely different tires/wheels as spares for the same model...

Yeah I guess $35000 for a car is not enough for a fullsize spare or at least everyone having the same size spare for each trim.

I hear you man but being of age driving legally for 19 years (not that long compared to most) I really don’t think I’ve ever (road time) driven on a spare for more than a few hours if not realistically less than that. Yes, not ideal but more than enough to get where you need to go. I mean riding motorcycles for years we’re fucked and no way around it.
Not arguing because it should come with same size but I don’t think it’s that much of an issue for me. If it was a donut spare I’d probably have more of an issue

had to run outside and check my spare:fingerscrossed: and luckily it matches my 265/70R16's. i wouldn't have been a happy camper if it wasn't matching...
