Although the covers look cool I wonder if there are any state laws that prohibit headlight coverings?

It’s not legal in California if I recall correctly, but for some that is not a deterrent. Just like limo tint on front driver/passenger windows, it’s a fix it ticket if that is the only reason for being pulled over.

 

Mine works great. You must have gotten a dud.

The headlight covers are nice but they are illegal in some states if you plan to go on a trip for a vacation. If I were you, take your OEM headlights off then take apart so you can paint the housing black except the high beam section. So once finished, the headlights will look dark enough so it won't lose visibility at night. Or you can get XB headlights like mine. Even, some TW members can paint the housings for you such as BLHM.. Something like that.

Maybe he should have kept the truck off. Not while truck is running/on. Or take the connection off of the battery before adding something.

Too pissed off. Now that I've cooled down a bit, plan on going out this afternoon and check them. I think it's more of a circuit breaker.
