You don’t need to do anything with the battery, look for a reset option within the unit settings. I don’t remember the exact path

They used to have overlays but I took them off so I could plasti dip the letters. Plasti-dip didnt work out very well so I'm ordering new vinyls for it again lol

Looks great! I did something similar except I did mine in three panels, also so I could stack them. A very functional sleeping platform!

You need at least 4 coats of plasticdip so it would last longer. 1 or 2 coats do not work very well.

Make sure to wait for it to dry before applying another coat. That's how I did with my radio trim.

My maxtrax mounts are on the way.. I plan to have the maxtrax set mounted on the rack either tonight or tomorrow.

It looks like it's going to rain soon. :annoyed:

I used 6 coats. Spraying it was kinda awkward because I couldn't remove the letters from the actual grille, only the bracket thing is removable. I might switch out my current grille for the OEM TRD Pro grille or even the new TRD Sport/Or grille. I also sprayed my radio trim but the texture is bothering me, might go with the actual paint from dupli-color

I understand. I like my grille. I usually get the messages from people that they see my truck... Such as "Your truck is badass." or "Nice truck." , "I like your roof racks."
My friends came to the restaurant, we parked out front on the parking lot and a guy looked at mine and my friend's Tacoma which we have same trim. He said "Your truck is badass." My friend seemed like he's jealous when he heard what his friend said to me about my truck. hahah.

The "I Beam" can store underneath the front. When assembled, it can also be offset.
I will have rolling shallow tupperware storage bins underneath. Front ones on a tether for easy retrieval.
I'll have less than $90 in the whole thing.

Your platform looks good. I have been considering which to get "DIY platform" or "Decked".. I like decked but it's pricey.

Over the weekend I installed the smart handle on the passenger door and it works great. Thanks to @Victory for the great write up.

Stage 2 tail lights:cool: Other than the hyper flashing in reverse these things are bad ass! Way brighter than the stock bulbs and I like how all my blinkers are now amber:)
The reverse lights are way brighter as well  Used my wife’s scented candle:rolleyes:and a X-acto knife and carved the plastic away to fit the bigger adapter. Had to heat it up 7 or 8 times to make it all the way around. Trimmed it up with a fresh blade and got the plastic shavings out with some scotch tape around a plastic straw. Not too difficult, maybe 10-15 minutes on each light. If I’m not mistaken, I now have LED lights all around the truck:thumbsup:

I really want to do this soon! Can't count the number of times I've gone up to the passenger door expecting it to unlock automatically...

I installed this a couple of weeks ago and I wish I had done it sooner. The hardest part of installing it was getting the wires through the rubber boot.

Can somebody recommend a good Taco windshield sun screen? Last one I had disintegrated and left tiny silver slivers all over creation. Would kinda like to avoid this on the next one.
