I was disappointed in my weathertech in my last ride. They started curling the first week and never sat correctly again. The OEM mats are better quality than those.

    This is epic!

Added tailgate inserts to mine. Need to get a better pic.

First step in the pretenderlander build.... KPvoodoo 14" taco max and some Cali bed stiffeners.

Picking up a CVT Mt Shasta next weekend from their store in TN and a diamondback cover should be here in 3 weeks.

Just my $0.02, but I wouldn’t put any weight on that rack until you get the Diamondback on. With those brackets, it’s designed for most of the weight to sit on the cover.

Thanks for the heads up, I was just thinking about that. I'll install some 2x4 blocks in-between the brackets for now (or just remove the rack). Was hoping to already have the cover installed but lead time was 45-60 days.

I assumed the Voodoo rack would come with both sets of brackets but it only came with the upgraded ones

I hope this is not too dumb of a question to ask but here goes ... what is that antenna for? I am curious about it and wanted to find out what kinds of signals and/or applications are you using that for? Hope you don't mind ... :)

It could be just me but I think this deserves to be in a mod hall of fame ... in fact it needs its own wing in said hall of fame ...

Thank you. I am trying to figure out a good way to do truck to truck communication in some areas where there is no cell services and was thinking if that could help.

I just bought material today to start making an upgraded version of my QuikFix no drill fully hidden front full size car wash safe license holder. Pictures are the former version that was fairly popular. These will not damage the painted bumper like the factory bracket does.

If you plan to get ham radio, you have to get a license for it. License is not required for CB radio. I could be wrong. You can research for more details.

This is correct. That looks like a UHF/VHF antenna [also based on his callsign]. The ARRL does tests for 3 different levels of certification. For CB, no license is required.

    Lastly, there's GMRS.

Any idea what bed stiffeners work with the OEM tonneau?

If your tonneau is touching the end of the bed, then you get normal size bed stiffeners like this:

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BL4YQGF/

If not touching, then you can get long bed stiffeners which can be in full height (from bed floor to the top rail.) I don't know if it fits with tonneau cover.

I gotta go look tomorrow morning. I assume if that top bolt is free and clear of the tonneau that I should be fine with the longer one?
