Yes, I did the same, PlastiDip works well and is cheap and easy to use.

Hey... I was looking at those adapters to use a tonneau with the RCI rack, but could never find any photos of how the adapters install. Any chance that you have some photos of how they go on or experience with removing the rack? I was going to get a set of adapters and a tonneau, but was hoping to be able to remove the rack sometimes when I didn't need it.

The way I was thinking was to make it manual, when doors open or you hit the button to turn on all lights then they are white, but if you push the map light button it turns it on red.

I figure if your turning on all the lights, chances are you need alot of light, but if your turning on your map light only then your not looking for a ton of light.

My first time doing JB Weld for plastic, only one other attempt in the past on metal. I definitely don't have great fine motor skills and the final piece is not perfect as it's a flat bezel mated to a gently curved trim piece . There are some gaps I which I wish I didn't have. I didn't want to go much higher and risk making a mess where this piece connects to the cupholders but I think I'm at least 1-2mm lower than I should have been.

Also the photos make it look better than in person. Definitely not MESO quality work but I guess you have to start somewhere.

Nissin Raoh Soy sauce ramen is pretty good. I get it at walmart in the asian/mexican isle. I stay away from a 25 cent noodles, but going into the ethnic isles gets you some pretty good imports.

Yeah, I'll try to get some photos of it next week. Installing those adapters weren't too difficult. I just loosen bakflip rails from the bed and squeeze the adapters in between the rail and bed then tighten it back. I believe you can bolt down the adapters to the bed, but not necessary per RCI.
    20200805_064205.jpg
To remove the rack, I was planning on removing bolts that connects the bed rack to the adapters to remove the rack.
Got this garage lift from Amazon to lift roof top tent and/or bed rack from the truck. Haven't install the lift yet so not sure how it will work, but should work according this video.

Taking the Mrs grocery shopping tonight. I'll have to take a look.
Microburst here beginning of the week. 3 days no water, no power and a full refrigerator and freezer headed to the garbage. Might just get me that fridge for my Tacoma if I'm sly about it.

Update: My Mrs says we need a generator before we need a refrigerator for the Tacoma.

I can work with that!
Just need to make sure it fits with my tonneau cover closed.
