Does it interfere with your parking sensors or blind spot monitor (if equipped)? I’ve been on the fence about installing mine.

Yeah back up safety monitor doesn’t work since something is there, but blind spot monitors work just fine.

I need to do a back up camera relocation and it’ll be all good .

That’s about what I expected. Don’t mind loosing the parking sensors, but I’ve become fond of the bsm. I wonder if we can relocate the parking sensors though. Thoughts like that tell me it’s time to go to bed.

    Night all!

Why not just buy a Tundra with the 5.7 that puts out more HP and torque with no supercharger? Seems like the cost would be comparable, you would have a bigger truck with better towing and hauling capability, and it would be more reliable in the long run because the motor doesn’t have the added stress of a supercharger.

I second this sentiment as well. Many people have said that I should have upgraded as well and just looking at the numbers it makes sense. It makes way more sense but many of the world’s roads aren’t built for the extra width of a full-size.

Actually Monday, not today... I installed this bad boy. Pioneer DMH-WC6600NEX. I had the base bottom Entune head unit before. It worked to play music but wasn't very good at anything else. I had to get the Premium Entune bezel to work with this. I also forgot the put the antenna adapter in... LOL. I'll be cracking it open for that, and to add a USB cable. The screen is also tilted a little. I may see if I can do something about that. Overall, it's a great improvement over the base Entune crap.

Are you still able to adjust all the settings of your truck through that head unit?

Traded in the last one, going to start modifying this soon.
wait, you can install ovtune on another vehicle? I thought the software is keyed to your laptop and your vehicle. I was looking at the site today and it looks like software/programmer is $379 and the profile another $350 or so!

Been meaning to post this for a while. Deleted my single rear seat and built a platform for a @Dometic CFX3 55IM and PLB40. Really stoked on this setup and have already used it on three trips. Quick rundown, the fridge runs off the PLB40, which is plugged in to the vehicle. So when the truck is off, it is purely running off the PLB40, when the truck is on, the PLB40 is charging. On to the pics:

Added some Stinger Roadkill Expert sound deadening to the rear wall and floor. I drove it before doing this, and it was very loud. This made a drastic improvement, however I ordered some more to add one more layer and complete the entire rear wall.

This is the rear wall I made. I added a lip to conform/ go over the top a bit to try and help mitigate sound escaping. The hole in the middle is for the latch the seat retains off of, as it would not allow the board to sit plumb.

Few shots of the platform itself before carpet. I wanted it as high as I could get it while still able to get the lid open. This enabled a decent amount of space below for storage (currently houses a CLS bag (trauma/first aid) as well as my air up/down gear and some Bino's. For mounting I bolted it to the stock seat brackets, which worked out really well. I was originally going to put some L brackets at the rear, connecting to the rear wall. That said it felt so solid I ended up not using them.

Some pics after install w/ carpet. Learned a lot with the carpeting, this was the biggest PITA imo. Wrapping presents is not my strong suit.

    Finished product:

I realize I don't have the strapping photos in these, will upload those in a bit. For those wondering, material is 3/4" MDF and the links to everything are below.

$40? You got a heck of a deal! Try ham radio outlet for the power cord and antenna. I have the same radio in my tacoma, it’s fantastic.

Look for a dual band, 2m/440, in case you get a dual band radio in the future. Do you have your ham license yet?

Dammnn, I’m thinking if I move back to the mainland and tow a TT around the states, this is gonna make life easier. Might even be able to get a bigger TT, that’ll make the wife happier too.
    Win win...
