Finally got around to installing the BodyArmor Hiline Bumper. While I was at it, I threw on the a Badlands 12k winch and a NiLights 20" lightbar. I used Tamdem Offroads 'Maner Mount' in relocating the control box in order to make it more accessible. Love the way it transformed the front end.

Oh cool. You are the only other person I have seen with that setup. Awesome! I like my racks higher up than most people. Glad you do as well.

Looks really good. Looking at something similar. Are you planning on using a front plate? If so, where do you mount it?

Just my 2c, I have a 2017 Kia Forte5 SX as my commuter. After a few mods(of course) I have been quite happy with its reliability. Purchased in 2018 and has more klms than my 2017 Taco.

Got my hands on one of these TRD engraved coin holders from @MESO, and @rrentrop was able to create a decal to match what I had previously installed from him on the shifter (which I also got from Meso).

for how they look I deff don’t think too expensive. Looks way better. I didn’t have to remove anything. Was able to get at the screws with a small thin Phillips. Was done in 20 minutes.

it’s a nice looking car. I’m looking for something a little older. Something around 5k dollars.

20200909_175934.jpgSo I went to the tax office today and picked up my plates. I was forced to change them after the "Woke Police" in Austin said that MUYMALO was offensive. It literally means Very Bad. My little Taco is tuned, has a CAI, a Borla Muffler, and -38 offset Stealth F5s so yeah, it's pretty bad (to me). Went with Overclocked instead because I'm a nerd. Nobody gets it, and I'm pissed. Screw 2020. I'll get something different next year. I'm really fed up with all the "nobody can be offended" crap. Especially in Texas.
By the way, the same plate "MUYMALO" exists in Colorado. Seen it on this platform. Ridiculous.
Anyway I'm done crying. Y'all have a great day!!!

Don't need a front plate in NM but this bumper does come with a plate mount.

nice, yeah I want to see how they match up to the DRLs on the new OEM led headlights because that is what I have on mine. The cover over the LEDs dont appear to have the LED segments like what is on the MESOs or other versions. Looks more like the OEM DRL LED cover to spread out the light. I don’t know if I want to go smoke to blend in better on the mirrors or the other version that may match the DRLs better.

This is so dumb but by far the hardest mod I’ve done on my car was swapping out the bedside decals. If you want to do this, take my advice and use an eraser wheel, peeling and goo gone took 3 days of picking and pulling til my fingers were raw, and I still had to buy a wheel! Live and you learn! So pleased with the outcome though! I didn’t like how big and busy the stock bedside decal was, but absolutely love the heritage and history of TRD and want to rep it any way I can! So I got these off Etsy, a little smaller than stock and removes allllll that unnecessary text for a nice, clean, classic Toyota livery!

I got this earlier this year. Before I got it I was wondering if they’d find some excuse to say it’s offensive. Ultimately everything offends someone
