I compliment you for your organizational skills and the fact that you have added a fire extinguisher but should it be fastened to something?

What did you wire the 3rd brake light too? Tap into the taillights or did you have a harness of some kind you could use? Getting my topper soon and trying everything to get them not to splice/tap into factory wiring...

I use these quick connects on several of my lighting projects. Here is an example. If I need to remove the bars it only takes a few minutes to remove 4x tamper proof screw and unplug the lights.

I didn't want to have a garage door remote in my truck so I got this from Bob's mirrors 20200911_062051.jpg
It was a simple plug and play and pretty cheap

I spliced into the wiring behind the tailight, i use to do mobile electronics install for ten years so it’s easy for me to strip the wire and splice into them, t-taps and those other connectors over time wont make good connections.

I bought a plug-n-play Curt trailer brake harness off Amazon for ~$60 that has the harness/connectors to be used with the taillights. I might have them use that if possible if nothing else. They supposedly have something at the topper place I ordered at that they use, but I'm dubious they understood what I was talking about, so we'll see. If it works out and I don't need it, I'll just return the Curt harness to amazon when done.

Thanks! They are a perfect match and look much more OEM than the white I removed. I did all four doors.

You're the first person I've seen actually get the headliner out of the cab. How was it? What door did you pull it out of?
