What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

You know... I see those posts all the time and I never thought I would be one of them but here I am... as soon as I pressed and heard them fall those posts came to mind

 

If anyone has extra clips, please let me know by pm! I'd love to have some on-hand before the puddle-pod install.

 

I actually have one missing on my drivers side from my puddle install. I just put that cover back on with 2 instead of 3 clips. Now it has a small gap on one side. So yes, if anyone buys a package of 20 pm me and I’ll pay the shipping plus a little to get one.

The trick is when you take out the mirror trim get the clips out of the door and put them on the trim. If that makes sense..

 

O'Reilly's Auto Parts usually has them. I had to get some last year.

 

^ Yes, I also got around to un-damming the front of my Taco. For anyone else needing info, it only takes a few minutes to unbolt twelve 10mm trim screws. Ten are in front, two are behind the air dam (you can feel for them).

Ready to go off road now less encumbered.

 

Note: before I re-installed the corner sails I covered the hole with black tape and then cut a slit in the tape. That way the next time(there have been several removals) they were less likely to drop through the hole into the abyss.

 

Rock/Step Lights that fade with the dome lights! It's a little flashy for my taste, but still love the effectiveness of this mod. Thanks to @Porroquio and this thread.

 

What product did you use or how did you wire them to fade with the dome lights?

 

I attest to this truth. RIP my surly long haul trucker in 2011,,,,lost a short battle with my parents bricked garage.

 

That look right there is where I'm hoping my 2019 QS OR lands. I recently pressed on some yellow Lamin-x fog light films and I like them a lot. Ya'll prolly know already but they have an amber lens that would match your Raptor lights and IMO look bad ass. Diggin those wheels 100% too, all well done!!

 

Glad to see I’m not the only one. I have white river rocks on the side of my driveway. I dropped two in the rocks when I did my puddle pods. I gave up after searching for an hour or so.

 

Had the same issue installing the panel back, i think what i did from what i remember was take the factory hardness off the clip and kinda made it stretch downwards with the puddle harness. That was probably the most difficult to do for the lights... everything else was easy for me to run

 

Painted my meso customs red vent trim rings gloss black. Red was just a little too much for me. Digging the gloss black tho.

 

Replaced a high beam light bulb

 

yeah it is a little pricey, but i like it. i got mine from McGeorge toyota for $195 and free shipping. easy install and makes it much easier to get in and out of the bed.

 

yes it's all fun and games till someone drops an engine or tranny on it and crushes it LOL

 

Could be like mine maybe bent the middle in I call it saggy seat lol mine ain't bad at all I find my self slipping forward some in my seat
