At about 41 seconds... guess we now know a stock offroad rear suspension can support a semi trailer

love this idea. I have actually been wanting a custom painted one. I'm going to look into this for sure. It is a little pricey though.

Couple of questions. There is no (none) v/6 or 4x4 decals or anything on my tailgate, is this normal ? Also does everybody's V/6 down shift a lot on just normal overpasses ? Granted It is when I am running around 80 but my old 2009 didn't lose momentum like that. Just curious if that is normal. I haven't changed tire size. (Yet)

Got my KTJO door bowl lights installed in the rear of the truck. I only had the front two doors and saw a fellow TW member had a full set for sale. So I snagged them up and now all four doors are complete. Even have two left from the set I bought to save as spares.

There’s usually just the V6 emblems on the OR tailgates. Looks like you have it from your profile picture.

No downshifting issues on my ‘18.

My OR only has a black V6 badge on my tailgate. It only downshifts when I want it to.:D

TRD emblems, tinted windows, OEM running boards, AVS vent shades, RMAS upgrade, LED lights in front and rear, interior LED lighting upgrade, LED lighting in bed, touch control dash mount for LED lighting, auxillary 12v and USB jacks in bed, replace all speakers with Infinity, custom mod with Bose tweeters, TRD Pro illumination mod...
I have experienced the same automatic downshifting when approaching an overpass if I have cruise control on. What I do it take it off of cruise and gently press on the accelerator to closely maintain the highway speed in was at. Then as I am going down the other side I re-engage the cruise control. On a similar note, I travel this same road with my 2017 Forte5 SX with a 7 speed auto transmission and it does not downshift or loose highway speed. I think the Tacoma just pushes a lot more air which causes it to downshift.

My 2018 OR came with the V6 on the tailgate. I know a lot of folks think it’s unsymmetrical with just the V6 emblem so they either de-badge or add the 4x4. Regarding the downshifting no issues for me around 80+ mph

Mine too. Why are people downshifting then complaining that the truck is downshifting????

Oh yea, I forget that some of these trucks try to shift themselves.

    Did your 09 have a 6spd?

as far as badges, idk what’s up with 2021s. There usually would be a v6 badge on the tailgate. No 4x4 because you should have bedside decals

Maybe when I get a lift and tires that’ll happen. I’ll take what I can get.
