Nope, you're definitely not the only one. I did the wiring for the lightbar and the ditch lights myself; both use a relay and wire harness provided by the each kit, and go to separate switches, but the biggest offender for RFI on my truck seems to be the DD foglight pods, and those just use the existing truck wiring, and are controlled by the factory fog light switch on the turn signal stalk.

My antenna is in the bed on a wheel well, and I don't notice any difference in RFI when I relocated it to the roof. A local ham operator suggested trying ferrite chokes on the power cables feeding the LED lights, but I haven't tried that yet. When I do I'll let you know for sure if it helps.

Several others have said this and I have realized it applies to me...many of the upgrades on my toco help to keep me sane. I have a new upgrade that now seems necessary but I need help. My wife has a hybrid lexus. I'm not only convinced that the start button is aluminum but I am also convinced I now need an aluminum start button. I haven't see the option for a taco but I think many of us would buy an aluminum start button if it were an option. Looked up the part for the hybrid lexus and it's 200+ for a replacement button. Website did not indicate the material its made from and 200 seems like a lot of money for a taco button mod. I considered wrapping the current button in tin foil but though it may not look right. I don't have a solution but I think many of us may need an aluminum start button. I know it's not Friday but I still would like to hear your thoughts. I don't have experience with fabricating things but based on the collective experience I see on this site, it may be a simple mission for some of you.

This is the start button on a lx 450H. Color is cool as well.

So you want the button to be metal rather than plastic?

From a fabrication/manufacturing standpoint, the back side of that button will make all of the difference in the feasibility of this idea.

Could do an aluminum "sticker" it'd ba little bit of a chore to "dish" the backside for a nice fit, but might make it more manufacturable.
Maybe a hybrid plastic for the complicated bits on the back and aluminum for the face? Flat backside with a domed front.

I get we all want what we want but is this a need? Even if it is, is it something worth exploring when you have companies like @MESO that make quality parts that many would consider better than OEM. Heck, while I don't know him personally, everything comes with a cost. Why not shoot him a PM and see if this is something he could fabricate for you?

I did the same last October. Best purchase I made for my truck.
I also added the Decked drawer system.

Working on installing a lift and chewed up the threads on the strut mount, just my luck, hopefully I’ll be able to chase it once the die shows up. 388C6740-AA49-4210-8F6D-E656220F4DFF.jpg

It’s very easy to get wrapped up in a thought like this.

“An idea is like a virus.... And even the smallest seed of an idea can grow. It can grow to define or destroy you.”

For me, after painting all of the fun metal grey interior pieces cement to match the body, I became obsessed with color matching the gun metal grey bezel inside the instrument panel. Doing this became much more challenging then I ever anticipated and it seemed Toyota designed it to intentionally make it difficult. It became quest. I eventually got it done, and sure it looks good, but I wasted so much time and energy that could have been better utilized with more impactful mods.

The moral of the story is that an obsession with a mod can take up time and resources that could be applied to a mod you would actually enjoy more.

Removed the vinyl that the previous owner installed. Installed interior delete kit, vent ring kit, vinyl vent inserts. Until the fiancée gets done with nursing school and no longer a single income supporter the mods will slowly roll in.

Yeah, after I broke my first one I just kind of gave up. Didn't bother me too much but I still think about it.

Well ya see, it's a little known fact that fabrics only shrinks in one direction. Oh yea... that's why my Jeans shrink around the waist while my t-shirts get shorter.

Either that, or they shrink in both directions and I wear my belt 2" lower than I used to o_O
