Mounted my recovery treads in a very similar fashion on the bedwall behind the cab. Very secure method of mounting. No flexing or putting strain on only two mounting points, no slapping back and forth or up and down.
AND it's all quickly and easily removed should the need arise.
    Nice job!

I have used all kinds of wax over the last 3 decades but I must say that this ceramic infused wax is at another level period!, I'm sold. It was a bit more difficult to buff with a polisher then again by hand but the results...the phone camera doesn't do justice. The strangest thing is...no haze...that was something new to me!
    Thanks for the compliment

It's that time of the year again for us Northerners. My timing is slightly off this year because they are calling for a warm spell coming days.

I'm going to be doing this tomorrow to my sport wheels. How are yours holding up? Any other tips besides the soapy water dip?

Your question was NOT directed at me, but since I took it to mean you haven't mounted a holster yet I wanted to offer this:

Consider sandwiching a holster into the narrow gap between the female-end seatbelt buckle and the center console. Most scenarios are all about time. Did you see the threat coming early enough?

Consider a car-jacker already at your window, weapon in hand... you're dead if you reach forward to your knee area (common location for on board carry). You are dead if you try to reach for an appendix carry, kidney carry, or even underarm carry. Bad guy is watching your every move very closely!
Best option is to tell him you'll get out of your truck, but he'll have to allow you to unbuckle your seat belt... Now, at least, you'll have your defense tool in your hand!
After that, it's up to you to be on target and squeeze off before he does.

This is from a real life scenario (except, there was a bad guy on pax side also). Driver/owner did survive, one bad guy did not, other (pax side) bad guy got away.

Many others need to at least see this as an alternative to the knee/shin holster location.

I'll post one soon. It hangs over the tailgate by about 8", it's massive (almost too big). But I plan to take it off the truck when I'm not heading out on a camping trip.
