I also have the v6 and tech said this didn't apply to my engine (most likely low ATF) but wanted to post to make others aware, as applicable of their having any issues.

    Thanks for clarifying that.

Yeah, it's really frustrating. They said they checked it when I brought it in a couple thousand miles ago and was normal. Now they're telling me the issues are prob from low ATF. WTF? I don't have time to leave it here today so making another appt for them to check again.

Did do the ubolt torque to 65 and grease all the joints while I was out there watching them. Actually brought it in today because of the hood vibration. Almost ALL of the adhesive points on mine are cracked or completely broken. A couple points looked good but when he gently pulled them the glue just came apart. They are filing a case with Toyota and said they will call me with a fix.

I expressed my concerns about the impact the flexing hood has on the paint and they put it all in writing and say it will be covered if any paint anomalies occur down the road.

Really do love this truck, despite these complaints.

OK people so heres the fix i did to my truck to solve the howling kazoo noise.

pic of pointing at the door shows where i started the tubing running all the way to the top up until the point where you see a small gap it the top of the door where you can pass it down. i sent maybe 3 inches down after making the turn

So when you're taking off the lower valance, there are a bunch of 10mm bolts, and some clips that need undone, but I had 2 "somethings" I could not find / remove / unlock / whatever.
One on each top corner of the valance?

Thanks for posting this. Does tubing type/size matter?
