What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I did the same. Easy install and lights everything up not just the end of the box. My only gripe was the cost to us Canadians. Almost $300. Conversion and $50 USD shipping. Gross.

 

Kind of freaky....on my 2021 in the new year.

 

Aluminum backing plate w engineering grade orange relective tape...using the 12 stainless accent bolts to attach...

As for the headlights, everyone's dealership is different. Some will sell you the part without a model year vin, some won't. You can try your local dealer, ebay also sells new 2020 oem leds.

 

Working on a theme...

 

Sometimes you've gotta cheat a little . Find a VIN in your local dealer inventory that has what you're looking for on it and give that VIN to the parts guy (to at least get a part number and cost, have them work for you).

 

But more than just skin deep...

 

What did you use for a battery mount?

 

Where did you find the single small switch holder? I'm looking at putting my winch switch there.

I hit up a fellow TW member that had cut out the front console switch plate for the MESO switch plate mod. I paid him for shipping to send me the part that he had cut out. Then I cut out the ECT holder part that I needed with a hot knife, then cut the hole in the centre console with a hot knife as well and filed to fit.

I have an ECT button extension wire harness in the mail thx to a fellow TW member who is custom building them.

 

Those engine bay lights look really good!!!

 

They work thats for sure. They really aren't that hard to install. If you're like me, I'm still a bit of a noob for wiring stuff, it looks intimidating. But honestly, it took me about 30- 1 hr to install.

Installed the same lights on my '16 and I agree 100%. It was a real PAIN. But it is a definite plus for the bed especially with a cover installed.

I looked at that too but on AliExpress for quite a bit less...that's where I get all my "TRD" knockoffs !...

 

Looks good, were the caps pricey ?, how about the install...how extensive was it ?, my caps got scars and could use replacement...unless your chrome are not damaged and we could perhaps make a deal...thanks
