Sorry to post this here but I'm not the best at searching and have not been able to find the answer I am looking for. So for the wiring gurus I have a question. I received the Matt Gecko lighting kit for Christmas and it just has the stock push button switch with inline fuse without a relay. I would like to use a CH4X4 switch in place of that in my dash. I have tried every wiring option available and while I can get the lights to work, the illumination on the switch does not work. I plugged it into a current location to make sure the switch was good and it works fine with my ditch lights. I'm assuming that my issue may be that there is not a relay. Can someone confirm that the missing relay is needed or is there another way I can wire the switch in order to get the illumination to work properly. Thanks

I have the wiring harness that came with the light kit but I want to be able to use a switch on the left side of the steering wheel. Going through the firewall is not an issue as I have multiple things already going through it.

TRD emblems, tinted windows, OEM running boards, AVS vent shades, RMAS upgrade, LED lights in front and rear, interior LED lighting upgrade, LED lighting in bed, touch control dash mount for LED lighting, auxillary 12v and USB jacks in bed, replace all speakers with Infinity, custom mod with Bose tweeters, TRD Pro illumination mod...
Just my 2c. Most use Kicker buy my preference is Infinity. When you sound deaden, also do the plastic door panels. This helps with reducing road noise and increases base response.

    Stock so far!
Two weeks of ownership...had to put wheels and tires on before the Bilstein 5100s and AALs arrive. Level 8 wheels and Wildpeak AT3w. Putting red “TRD” on the centercaps

Kinda late to the party. I've been busy for the last week and running about 50 pages behind. Looks good. What setting do you have those set on? Looks a little taller than the lower 2" setting.

Is that silver in color? I’m old and my eyesight stinks. Lol it looks great I have a feeling that there will be a few trucks with painted skids. Much cheaper than TRD skid.

Gotcha thanks. I have the same on order. I got the Headstrong 3 leaf aal with the added flat shim for the rear sitting in my garage. I went with it because you don't cut the bands off of the stock springs so you can go back to stock if you want to.

nice! I’ve looked into that one, just don’t know for my purposes if I need to go with an aal since I won’t really be carrying any added weight

You could look into the RMAS system.

I understand. I don't carry much either but it should improve the ride so I will see once I get everything installed.

the Infinitys are popular too, I’ll look into them more, just had good luck with the Kickers. I did add some sound deadening to the plastic panels too including the rear wall panel. just didn’t grab a pic of it. Finished the whole thing before I thought about posting it!

285/75/r16 Nitto Trail Grappler M/T’s, Extang 2.0 hard tonneau tri-fold. Billstein 5100’s front/rear with OME 886 coils and Headstrong off-road 3 leaf progressive AAL. All speakers replaced with Kicker CS Series. BulletPoint Taco Bar with stubby CB mic holder and two-way FRS/GMRS radio holder. Uniden PRO505XL 40 ch CB. RCI engine and transmission skid plates. RCI sliders. Garmin Mini Dash Cam 2. CMC by Milogen Fabrication.
I’ve got the 3 leaf AAL from Headstrong on the way too. Just received my OME 886’s yesterday. I’ll be ordering the Billstein 5100’s soon as well as OME UCA’s. Had this setup on my ‘17 access cab except with 887 coils and I left the overload leafs in because of the weight of the shell. It rode really nice.

I got a voltmeter and checked all the USB ports and they seem to be good. I really appreciate you pointing this out as I’m very new to doing electrical mods. Now I have it for future mods :D :fistbump:

Installed the drivers side grab handle yesterday. Took a lot longer than it should’ve....bolt holes/threads didn’t line up, plus a couple other issues. But it looks good now!
