Finally got around to ordering this. Got it in the mail today and tried it out. It works well, so far. There’s no tether like the factory one, but it locks. No engine warning signs, so I’ll see how it holds up over time.

I just recently pulled my old console safe out of my 2017 and put it in the new 2021. I had no idea there was a difference. The safe and console lid have been great. Do I need to get a little rough on it and verify the latch holds?

 

The issue seemed to be with the higher sitting extreme door vice the regular version.

 

Not to answer on behalf of anyone but those are them. 2020+ are pre-wired for the bed lights so it’s a simple plug and play 10 minute install. Looks like you have a ‘17 so you will likely have to do some electrical work
