I second that. The body shop uses them and I had the opportunity to try it and if I can use it anyone can.

@mgselzer19 - Might you have the part number for the front bedrail? I thought it was odd that this was not a standard piece in the bed!

    Thanks!

I don't know the part number, just wanted to chime in that they are standard on the 2nd gen and I got mine for $12 at a Pull n Save wrecking yard.

Back to the simple to fix days of Toyota for a minute. It was possible to do a "pad slap" on the front disc brakes without any tools. At least that's how I remember it on my 1972 Carolla.

Finally got around to adding my side steps today.
Next project: add black vinyl appliques on rims.

Body Armor rear bumper. Not bad for 500 bux. Wouldn't pull from rings on it. Uses the rear most holes on the frame and the two bolts on the top of each rail. Other than that looks great for the price couldn't go wrong.

So I put new OEM PRO fender flares on my SR5. The front ones came off easily but the double sided tape was a nightmare. Lots of picking carefully and chunks coming off and goo gone to get it off. Took 45+ minutes for each front.

last night I started to take the back ones off. Decided to try to warm them up first with a hair dryer. Figured out a simple way to get them off and then clean up the tiny amount of residue left over with goo gone. Took me 30 minutes total for both rears. If this video helps anyone it will be worth it. I warmed up the tape with the hairdryer prior to starting to pull it. Key I found was pull it as close to parallel to the surface as possible.

Oh yeah, super easy. They pop right out You'll have to expose the tapped factory holes under the tape.

Compared to removing the old ones and the adhesive how difficult was installing the new ones, including dealing with the new double sided tape?

Prepping the surface was the hardest part. Soap and water to get rid of any dirt, goo gone to get rid of any old adhesive residue, IPA to get rid of any contaminants for the new double sided tape. Start on one end, pull the backing on the tape just past the first clip and pop it in, pull the backing further and pop the next clip in, repeat until complete. Install screws and you're good.

It's a super simple install to put new ones in. I got lucky and got a brand new set with clips and double sided tape installed on them already.

Is there an alternate way you can route that hose? That bend looks like it's going to put a bit of stress on the hose/fittings.

No paint warranty. Unless you had bought paint protection. I'm sending everything to Corporate.

Thanks man. Whether it be because mine get damaged or I find a deal on some I'd like to replace mine with the black textured ones as well. Looks great on your truck.
