Thanks! I admit we’re living the “good life”. I hope people can see that a couple can have a happy retirement in the sun full timing in a taco.

Taco is second vehicle up from the bottom. Playa Gringa on Bahia de Los Angles, Baja Norte

Good choice! Ours has been working well, just had to steepen the filler hose angle since ours is installed on a flatbed. Was thinking of removing by LRA tank and boxing the rear frame in San Diego/ LA area next month. How hard was the installation? I had it installed by Cruiser Brothers

What I’m amazed with is that we’re spending about $1,800 per month in Baja for everything, including whale watching and a fishing trip. Great trips don’t have to be postponed

Installed the OEM TRD skid plate this morning. Funny, but I always thought these things looked like they were powder-coated white, but they are actually a light silver color. Love the look and this should do just fine with the light off roading that I do. And no more dropping the entire plate just to change the damn oil!

I did mine in the winter so I’m guessing warmer weather would be easier. I didn’t u bolt headlights. I was able to get to the small hidden screw with a thin Phillips screwdriver. Was able to pry the bumper out enough with a piece of plastic and a cloth to get to it.

Love the wheels. I almost bought red but came across a deal I couldn’t pass up.

Returned my icon aal and bilstein shocks and decided not to level it. Was waiting on the front shocks which are still weeks out and I kind of got meh on it and didn’t care to level it. After reading all the needle bearing replacement, trimming etc etc. I kinda got over it and will prob just roll it around stock height since I don’t even need a level. Will put money into maybe leather seats which I like or whatever else I come up with. Still need to install my amp research steps..

Yeah I’m struggling with the same thing. I would like to level at the least but with the bearing nonsense I hate to spend the money and have to do more work to fix stuff caused by my poor decision. I guess just leave well enough alone.

If my order had shipped on time and had all arrived at once it would’ve already been installed by now and I wouldn’t of had a second thought but since it’s taking almost a month I’ve been reading and thinking about it and I just don’t care that much anymore. I’ll probably throw some different rims and tires on it and if down the road I get the itch maybe I’ll do it then

I’m thinking some of those 265/75/16 wildpeaks would be more than enough for me once the stock tires are a bit more worn.

Yeah I think that’s the way I will go to. The 75 should fill the space a bit more and go with an AT tire that has the square flat look instead of the round sidewall on the factory tire. I’m not sold on the wildpeak I had a set on a Sierra and they were good but a bit noisy. I also had a set on an f150 work truck that dug really well off-road but the treadlife wasn’t great.

See I was originally thinking the KO2s like many people, but I just happened to see JP3s truck in the long bed thread and I like the look he has. It looks aggressive, but not overboard. Plus I’ve read good things about the wildpeaks.

265/75/r16 KO2’s with stock suspension are a good option. These have been awesome off-road so far......
