Okay, here are additional pictures. If you look at your Tacoma there will be 2 OEM bolts where I mounted each tow hook. I removed one of those bolts on each side and and cut the plastic away. I used a zip blade on the angle grinder then just finished it off with a hacksaw blade. I didn’t need to drill that hole any bigger. A second hole was drilled through the hitch. The upper plate has threaded holes for the bolts , I used a 10.9 grade bolt can’t remember the size. Lots of anti seize was used on the bolt threads, we have lots of salt on roads here in the winter no need for thread locker. Besides the bolts shouldn’t come loose. There’s a spacer used between the hook and the hitch to give clearance below the bumper. Like it was mentioned these were bought from the GMC dealer many years ago, I put them on my Ford trucks but they do look a lot like the tow hooks on Buckstop Bumpers. A bit heavy duty but I had them so I put them to use.

I made some Quickfist mounts. Thinking about making either a fire extinguisher mount or for recovery boards up against the cab next.

Yours are in better condition than mine before getting them powder coated. When the set was new they came with a plate with threaded holes and that’s what was used for this installation along with a spacer.

My Victory 4x4 bed rack has taken some abuse over the past couple years (scratches and such dinging up the powdercoat pretty good)

Pulled it all apart to do some grinding of rust, sanding, primer, and some paint. Trying some underbody coating on top of the spots that get particularly bad to see if it holds up better over time.

Keeping overspray away from the turf and fence:
