Installed the TRD lift today, talked the dealer into not doing the grill and sensor. Just need wheels and tires now. Can’t decide between 265/70/17’s or the 285’s. 31F49973-3317-4B1E-9A07-0809FBD112F5.jpg 91D5E144-9D81-4563-8A26-57AD3609921B.jpg

Mind if I ask what the total price was for parts and labor? They didn’t give you any issues with it being a long bed?

I paid 1k flat for parts and labor, and I asked about the long bed thing they didn’t even know that was a thing. The truck rides real smooth with the lift.

That’s what I’m leaning towards, but I see a lot of posts about regearing with the 285’s. I don’t wanna drop the money for the regear just yet..

Well shucks! 1k I could do right now. I’m gonna have to email my dealer for pricing. Thanks for the info.

Ugh! As I am typing this, it occurs to me that I will need probably another 2K or more for wheels and tires after it’s lifted to make it all look the way I want. Grrr... Does the spending never end!

Broooo that’s the spot I’m in, I wasn’t gonna do the lift yet I was gonna run the bilstein 6112’s but was waiting for my truck and talking to the parts guy and I talked him into separating the kit for me and that I would do it if he did. My sensors work the exact same as before with the lift

They did it on one of my free services. Also the latest ECU TSB, and had to have the rear diff replaced due to whining noise.

Put the same on mine last week. Crazy bright and I love the clarity of the amber lighting.

I just recently went with some 285/65/18 with a +18 offset don’t do that offset I rub on the upper control arms like a mf lol. But idk about regearing. I don’t carry anymore weight on my bed. I did feel a powerloss, but I went with an E rated tire which weights more after reading here so you should be fine. I kinda did all of it on a whim without research and just kinda went to a tire shop. And then afterwards started reading here and saw I made some grave mistakes. I’ve read most guys don’t have issues with a 0 offset. If anyone disagrees i stand corrected

More negative offset is better (to a point). And aftermarket UCAs that are adjustable help.

Stock OR wheels are +30 I believe. So +18 is going in the right direction but not far enough.

Yea, but I didn’t want to super glue them back in after the back plastic welds were cut. I also didn’t want to deal with popping the passenger r/h side one off.
