Understood. I was more concerned about it wearing from use because it's exposed. It's covered with the stock tailgate liner.

 

I have the snail armor in the garage waiting for my sabellco lock to come in to do them both at once. I’m aware of the exposed strip, I might put some 3M clear tape over it, maybe not. I thought I’d keep an eye on it if I don’t tape it and if it appears to be a problem it’d be pretty easy to tape that small section off and hit it with a black textured rattle can.

 

Painted and installed sliders today, truck is 3 weeks old. I think this is a record for me. Headed out to BHM Offroad park tomorrow to f them up.

 

Took 10 minutes and gave ye ole' Taco a coat of wax.

 

Got OV Tune and absolutely love it.

Nope, can't afford the gas to go anywhere! I've been living in the dumpsters behind REI to fund the mods TW tells me to get.

Friendly reminder for those who are enjoying warmer weather these days:

Check your truck for insect nest(s).

Went to go an put gas in today, and a red wasp had started the construction on a nest just inside the gas door. Swatted it and the nest out. It wasn't too happy, but it went away rather quickly.

I know some have complained about rodents in their vehicles. But don't forget our winged friends as well.

 

I was able to get my hands on a rare Tacoma snorkel you don't really see here in the states. Thanks to a member here for making it possible, should have the install up on the channel soon.

 

Explore Overland. They recently started making sliders at their shop near Utica, NY. It’s a relatively short trip for me to pick them us versus dumping $200 on LTL freight. Good welds, beefy as fuck and built by a bunch of guys that wheel Tacos/4R all over the place.

If the Tacoma is only sold in the US where did the snorkel come from?
