I upgraded from stock to Pioneer TS-A692C 6x9 + tweeters. I've seen a few others mention them around here so I thought I'd share some info in case anyone else is thinking of getting them. The 6x9s were simple plug and play, but the tweeters involved drilling, dremeling and soldering. Crutchfield supplied some mounting discs for the tweeters but they have to be modified to work. They're just plastic discs with holes on the outside for the bolts that mount them to the dash. You have to cut about a 1 5/8" hole to receive the tweeter, and then you have to cut some of the outside of the discs away in order to fit the dash grille back over the newly mounted tweeter.

For connecting the tweeters, I followed the guide posted by @dfkjr here. I didn't have a solder wick which made it difficult to simply unsolder the leads on the crossover capacitor so I just snipped them and removed the capacitor altogether. Pioneer supplied an inline crossover which I connected between the old OEM connector (the part that's mounted to the back of the stock tweeters) and the new tweeters.

The sound is much improved. The lows have more thump, mids are fuller and highs are crisper. It was a lot more work than I expected it to be but it was worth it.

Swapped out the TRD bed decals. I like the look of a decal there, but really didn't like the red on the stock decal as it takes away from the white/black "Stromtrooper" look.

Can you give some feedback on the ride quality of that Eibach lift? I'm curious about on road manners vs mild off-road use. Truck is super clean btw!

Pillar vinyl delete. Heat gun, keep the right angle, go slow and it pulls most of the adhesive with it. Bug and tar remover and a fingernail did the rest. PITA. Added a coat of Turtle Wax Hybrid Wax/Polish to the area.

Installed a Cali Raised molle panel in the truck bed. Designed specifically to be used with the Bakflip MX4 (lowered bed rail). Well made and adds some storage options for those that keep shit in their truck bed.

Spent 2 hours at the DMV getting my Taco registered, paying taxes and getting personalized plates. At first lady was like "hell no, you can't get those plates" as she looked up the translation on urban dictionary. But I found a few searches that made it seem less vulgar. Hint, it's a Spanish word that means the F bomb, slang.

Thanks! I installed it 5 days ago so not to much feedback to provide but I can definitely say it’s a better ride than stock!! The ride quality on the streets is pretty smooth; a little stiffer than the stock but still a comfortable ride.

Went to Home Depot to pick up 25 bags of topsoil. The leaf springs were flat. I was surprised that it went down that much. At least it was some truck stuff. I’ll use the trailer for the next loads.

Sometimes, Air lift or Goodyear bags seem to be a viable solution to an infrequent problem.

I'm thinking Independent Schrader valves and a bicycle pump . Fill to suit.

I had Firestone bags on my Chevy 1500HD. They worked great for pulling the 5th wheel camper. I was just being lazy and didn’t feel like going back home to get the trailer.

Adding a permanent fixed rate booster spring is a different approach. Much like "add a Leaf" .
THE RMAS and the airbag options have a glaring deficiency. No additional LATERAL stiffness in the spring pack. Something Hotchkiss drives Need desperately with increased loading.
